I'm a Des Moines transplant. Some locals suggested I come here for First Friday. What a wonderful experience! It was so interesting to see everyone's craft and grab some unique gifts for my loved ones. The availability of food and drinks while we walked through also elevated the whole experience. I also love the design of the building and the layout. Can't wait for the next one!

Host your own events in the “Big Room” an adaptable space w/floor-to-ceiling windows that look out over the city - so beautiful day or night.

Did a glass blowing class and my 9 year old got to make an ornament, super cool experience, the instructor was fun and very good at what he was doing. Would definitely like to go back!

Great event space! Unique and beautiful. Easy parking across the street. Delicious food by Tangerine.

First Fridays are wonderful opportunity to meet artists and try something new. We really enjoyed learning about screen printing and letter presses.

Went in the afternoonlast month my car got towed for $160,met with several artists to get a feel for art herejust moved here from Denver.

I love going here on first Fridays and talking with all the incredibly talented artists in the building. Coming here is like going to a very large art gallery with a diverse range of art forms represented, some complete and some in progress or evolving. I also love the Shattering Silence mural that envelops the entirety of the exterior facade. Mainframe Studios is making a difference in Des Moines

Can access bldg most times, but plan on 1st Friday of the month when most artists are in and enjoy free entertainment and food/beverage for purchase along with great mix of talent and wares. Artists are eager to chat about their methods.
