I went for a dance competition and overall the liked the venue; the only thing I would change would be the restrooms / changing rooms because they are pretty hard to find
This is a very good gym, if you can get access Harvard-affiliates and their families. Many Harvard clubs have classes here I did karate, boxing, and BJJ, there are also regular classes, a swimming pool, and all kinds of equipment.
Outdated equipment, weird layout, but the best gym for weekend workouts as the Hemenway doesn't open until 10am and the Mac opens at 9am. Harvard seriously needs to update their athletic facilities and extend their hours of operation.
Hemenway is the nicer Harvard gym. This one has a plaque stating that Teddy Roosevelt lived there. Still a passably good place to lift. Two racks, one bench.
This is a great gym. They also have a swimming pool here. Went here for boxing train and cross fit. Always good energy and you can get a good work out in.
The worst gym I have ever been. In fact, for a while, I could not believe this is a gym associated with Harvard. Even a gym in a random college I visited functions much better than this one.
Unlike its cousin, Hemenway, the MAC is seldom crowded, and has a nice pool. There is not as much equipment, but this is usually not a problem.
Good place for cardio workout...
Not the most amazing gym but it has almost everything you'd need and is very centrally located.
Five story world-class fitness facility in Harvard Square.
