There are no more COVID restrictions besides requiring vaccination for people who want to take the mask off. However, the gym opens 8 am on weekdays and 9 am - 1 pm on weekends. Who goes to gym that late? I paid a lot of money to go to this gym pre-COVID and I have to wait around until 8 am and 9 am. If the owners want to save money, they should open 6-10 am and 5-9 pm or something like that to accommodate people who work. Seriously considering moving to another gym because it interferes with my work schedule so much.
I was directed to this location by the Le Meridien hotel, and found myself really enjoying it. I hope to return. Benji made me feel welcomed from the start. It is a small but modern facility and is very clean. Perfect gym location coming from my hotel stay. Nice and quiet around 2 p.m.-- I felt like I had the gym to myself.
Great Gym my experience has been nothing but positive. I don't do any personal training or classes so cannot speak to that. The entire gym is very modern and has a very cool atmosphere to it. There's all the equipment you need for strength and cardio training which is what I focus on. The crowd ranges from people starting off on their fitness goals to some serious regulars. I haven't had many negative experience other than getting asked my trainers on multiple occasions if I was interested in a "fitness evaluation" which was a minor annoyance. Love it. Have been going for over a year and will continue to do so!
I've been a member here for almost a year, and I must say that this is the best gym in Central Square, way better than BSC and the YMCA. The facilities are great, the showers and locker rooms are close to spotless, and the instructors are wonderful. The gym seems to attract a nice crowd, instead of intimidating meathead types. People seem to be very friendly and judgement-free. You can tell that the people in charge at VIM really care about the place and their patrons.
a great price for start of the art equipment and a funky interior reminds me of the bat cave. There are two locations - I prefer the one closer to Prospect St. There is a class schedule and a free fitness assessment. Really a better deal than the BSC further up the street.
The gym is very dirty and the management is rude! Avoid at all costs
I prefer emacs.
