Too bad iowa is a fire at will state otherwise i would be filing one hell of a wrongful termination suit against manpower! I dont condone or promote not working if your physically and mentally fit to do so but honestly you would be better off drawing a welfare check than waste your time and energy with manpower. Seriously. So, they placed me at a job recently which was a good position with fair pay HOWEVER while i was out for a few days with a bad sinus infection and prepared to return with a Dr note which indicated the day i could return, they decided to lie and claim I never contacted the client company or manpower (which I did for both as I have phone records to prove it). The kicker is in a safety meeting, the general manager of the client company made very clear to ALL staff that "If you are sick or think you may be getting sick, stay home." The reason for that is at the company not only for obvious reasons of preventing the spread of illness around theworkplace, the company produced consumables so any exposure risk was no bueno. Ok. So beings as I had seen a Dr and was diagnosed with a sinus infection I was trying to do what anyone would do and abide by the GM's expectations and I stayed home. Yet I get released and falsely accused of no call no show. Hmmm thats funny cuz like i said i have phone records to prove i had contacted both manpower and the client company. All im gonna say is karmas a son of a gun and everyone answers for their deeds good and bad one day when they come before the Lord and have to account for how they did others during their life. I can and will find something so much better with no phony nonsense! Up yours manpower!

Don't waste your time with these clowns. I have gone to this agency twice. Both times, they have NOT helped me. I honestly disclosed some prison time from 8 YEARS ago. Guess that was a mistake. They didn't even refer me to the company for an interview. They said it was because I had no experience with the heavy equipment I'd be working with. BIG LIE. My coworker said her boyfriend got the same job with NO EXPERIENCE on that very equipment. LOL. They'll escort you into their immaculate office, interview you with their fake sincerity, and then do nothing for you. In fact, they'll lie to you. "Well, if anything comes up, we'll contact you..."

They help me right at away. And I am happy to be a employee at Mary Greeley medical center. Now I don't belong to manpower any more!! But I am happy with there help. Thanks so much.
