I contacted Marc Lopez in utmost desperation and worry over 2 cases that my husband was charged with. Immediately, I started looking for the best lawyers that I could find in the city. Marc is clearly one of them. His reviews, blogs, social media feeds, and biography is an exact portrayal of how knowledgeable, caring, and passionate he is about helping people in need. He has over 900 closed criminal cases which is more than most attorneys in Marion county. You can actually look them up at mycase.in.gov and see his track record for yourself. Marc truly gave me the white glove treatment as he responded immediately to my inquiry at 9:30 PM at night. Most law offices have their paralegals get back to you, and a lot do not have services after business hours. Marc went above and beyond as an attorney and allowed for me to be within arm's reach of him whenever I had a question. It was truly a privilege getting to ask so many things about my husband's case that Marc really put us at ease. No law office has ever been as attentive as his. It felt like I was talking more to a concerned friend rather than a lawyer who was simply looking at my husband's case as another number. Five months ago I was charged with OWI after leaving a bar inebriated (fortunately I didn't get very far.) To make matters worse, I was uncooperative & disrespectful to law enforcement resulting in a one year license suspension for refusing a chemical test. The humiliation and anxiety that stems from a DUI arrest is one thing, but the burden I placed on my wife by losing my license for a year had put my family in crisis mode. I reached out to Marc after getting a referral and reading online reviews. Marc was upfront & honest about the incredibly slim prospect of getting the refusal set aside, but he offered a productive way for me to move forward. This started with an immediate alcohol evaluation & recommendation (for me was a 36 hour alcohol treatment program with weekly AA meetings.) If you are in a similar situation, understand this: Marc will get you on the right path, and he will undoubtedly make the best possible case for you in court -- But, what happens in-between is entirely up to you. You must do what is necessary to put yourself in the best possible light prior to your plea/trial. The system is a slow, painful process. If you're taking this seriously, rest assured that Marc and his Team will be working just as hard as you toward the best possible resolution. In the end, Marc was able to convey in court the tremendous burden I had placed on my wife & family with the refusal, and the refusal was set aside. I can pick my children up from school now, and I can't thank Marc and his Team enough for that.
