Marcus-Boyd Realty has managed several of my properties for the past six years and they've done an incredible job. They are extremely responsive to maintenance requests and the tenants in my properties have been happy as a result. What makes life much easier for me is the the way they conduct business. From vetting tenants, maintenance, move-in and move-out inspections to the electronic payment of the rents to me each month. These are things I don't have to worry about anymore. I've self-managed my properties in the past and it was an absolute nightmare. I can tell you that since I started with Marcus-Boyd six years ago I have no stress or worry about my properties. Marcus-Boyd Realty is thorough and I'll happily continue to use them for other properties in the future. I highly recommend this firm for all your real estate needs!

Marcus-Boyd has been our agency of choice since 2008- both on the sales and rental side. We have purchased three homes with them as our agent two in Baltimore and one in Delaware and they managed a rental property for us for 5+ years. We have had very positive experiences in all these transactions. They professionally advocated for us as a buyer and were communicative and accessible to us throughout the process. As property managers, we had confidence that our property was in good hands with vetted tenants. Naturally there were repair expenses while rented- we were always contacted and were offered options and right of approval, while ensuring the tenants had their needs met. While there was some turnover in tenants throughout the period, the property was returned in very solid condition given the elapsed time. The final lease terminated on a Saturday of a holiday weekend and M-B agents were there that day for repairs and cleaning and then again on Sunday to meet us for a walkthrough / handoff. We believe Marcus-Boys to be a vested and capable agency and will continue to use them for our real estate needs.

We decided to rent our house about a year ago before moving abroad. I knew that Marcus Boyd focused on Federal Hill because many of the signs I saw had their logo. They were very eager to see our house and were extremely enthusiastic about its potential as a rental. What really clinched the deal for us was that they also act as property managers so we don't have to be worried about calls from tenants when something goes wrong. Their fee structure seems very competitive and so far the rental income has shown up in our account exactly when they said it would. They also send us a record of expenses incurred and their fees which will be very helpful when tax time comes around. I like the fact that they did a thorough vetting of the tenants and we rented to a couple who we think were ideal. A year's lease works out just fine for us. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Marcus-Boyd Realty for buying, selling, renting and property management. They have been awesome!!!!

Marcus-Boyd Realty is hands-down the best Property Management Company I have ever encountered. From my initial phone call through my move-in day they were incredibly helpful. They had an answer for all of my questions. It got even better when I moved it. They responded to ordinary maintenance calls almost immediately, and always with a smile on their face. I could not give a stronger recommendation for the company. I would encourage any friends or family members to work with Marcus-Boyd Realty for any real estate needs!

Can't speak on their quality for purchasing/selling a home, but horrible property management for rentals. Totally unresponsive. No problems throughout the two years were ever resolved unless we the tenants took care of them ourselves and out of our pockets. One example: an appliance ice maker included with the property malfunctioned and flooded the 2nd floor. Water leaked through the ceiling into 1st floor. Hardwoods were warped and the ceiling was brown. They came 3 days later and fixed the ice maker. About 3 weeks later, they painted over the brown ceiling without checking for mold. Didn't touch the warped floors. I am SURE they didn't notify the owners of the property. Do not rent from them unless you are prepared to pay for their services and receive nothing in return.

I'm giving one star because it won't let me give zero. When we first moved into the rental property, we were promised the overgrown tree hanging on the power lines would be taken care of, the place would be painted and thoroughly cleaned, and none of this was done. A few weeks after we moved in, the basement flooded and they told us it was our problem. They only came and fixed it after they got extremely rude with us on the phone, screaming at us. After we left the property a year later, we only received half of our security deposit back because they charged us for unnecessary items that weren't broken or damaged. They are some of the rudest people I've ever met. They are a scam. They make their money by ripping you off and being argumentative so that you stop fighting them because it isn't worth it. I've even heard of some of their previous tenants suing them. Just don't rent from them.

We have used Will and Bill at Marcus Boyd Realty for multiple property transactions, spanning from a small row home in Baltimore city to new home sales for a 17 home property development, and even a million dollar property on Hanover Street. They have been extremely professional and a joy to work with. We felt as though all the details were just "handled" and we could relax and move on to new properties.

Will Runnebaum and Bill Mangham of Marcus-Boyd Realty spent more than a year helping us find our next home - over this time it became clear that they were truly invested in making sure we found the home that was right for us. They continually gave of their time to make sure our needs were met. Couldn't have been a better experience. When selling our home in Federal Hill, Marcus-Boyd Realty was committed to serving us as clients. They took a great deal of pride in ensuring our home was presented in the best light possible; the pictures and marketing were fantastic! Whether it was a weekend open house or a late night showing, Marcus-Boyd Realty was always willing to give their time to make sure our house had the best chance of selling. Couldn't recommend a better agency for buying, selling or property management in the Baltimore area. They are tops in the market!

Marcus-Boyd helped us sell our Federal Hill home in 2012. Every aspect of the relationship from first contact to the settlement table was professional and exemplary. The photography shoot of the house took hours because of Bill's commendable attention to details; the final, beautiful photos were surely instrumental in selling the house. We enjoyed working with Will and Bill; they made the experience, which is often stressful and unpredictable, exceptionally easy and even fun.
