This is one of my favorite sushi places when I’m on the go, it’s got great variety and inexpensive. Not all the options are available on the conveyor belt, but you can order off the menu for the same price. Sushi is fresh and tastes great, some of my favorite are crab salad, seared salmon, salmon ikura, calamari and seaweed rolls. Great place for hungry kids and small groups, you can eat a lot and price doesn’t make you feel like it broke your wallet.
07/07/17: 3.0 out of 5 - Wow it's been a long while since I last came to this Sushiland...what happened?! A LOT of things suffered here, from food quality to cleanliness. It was disappointing, but may be this location is going through new ownership. I'll have wait and see and try again. 06/09/16: 4.5 out of 5 - Came here for a quick bite with friend & business partner. Food arrived quick from order. The service staff are typically friendly regardless of how busy they are, the place is clean, and the prices are more than fair. 05/01/16: 4 out of 5 - I've gone to a few other Sushilands between Seattle and Portland. The Pearl District location, on my humble opinion, is by far the better. The food service staff are attentive and friendly. The selections are abundant and tasty with ordering available to the patrons. Also, it's not pricey. However, there is only exception; dust. The place is overall clean, but I am a stickler to dust clustered in the light, air ducts, and pretty much above my head. Just don't like the mere thought of it dropping in my food or drink. Regardless, I gave this place 4-Stars. So all in all, it's worth trying. At the very least, try it once and decide for yourself. Enjoy!
Terrible! It was the worst sushi place I have ever been to. We were excited about sushi but ultimately regretted it! We took a bite of better looking plates and had to spit them out; they tasted really bad! Many rainbow plates were bad but still there... the tuna on the rainbow roll was GRAY! Worst thing is that they priced their red plates $5 and called them special and the red plates were the worst ones! we ended up paying $22 for 4 plates, came out hungry and went straight to a sandwich place... so disappointed, THEY SHOULD CLOSE or MAKE SOME CHANGES
Marinepolis is a great spot to pop in for a quick bite. We always make it a point to stop in at least once whenever we visit our daughter in Portland. We usually go to the Beaverton location because we also stop by the Uwajimaya and Kinokuniya see my reviews while in Beaverton. If you've never been, Marinepolis is a conveyor belt sushi restaurant so a variety of sushi, rolls, and sides make their way around the prep area along a converter belt. If you see something you like, just grab the plate and you're good to go. It's convenient because you can literally start eating the minute you sit down. Because they don't have every single menu item going around the track, you can place a custom order with the server or chef and they'll make that for you. I forgot to mention this earlier but the food items make their way around the track on color-coded plates. Some plates are a dollar, others are $1.50, $2.00, $3.00, etc. so you can tell how much each item costs as they make their way around. Just to be clear, the 5 stars is for convenience, location, value, and overall experience. The sushi isn't top shelf quality, the decor/design of the restaurant won't wow you, and the service can be iffy due to staffing BUT the two times we went there during this trip, the food was good, the chef was attentive, and 35 plates of food and two beers came to $71 - that's 5-star amazing!
Friendly staff! I love the sushi! It was very delicious for the price! Usually I would expect cheap sushi for a cheap price as Sushi Land. 5 stars for sure!
I was a regular to Sushi Land in the Seattle area, but this particular one wasn't as good. There were almost no employees working there, one waiter and 2 chefs so everything was a little delayed. Food was okay, nothing out of the ordinary for these restaurants.
Usually I love coming here but tonight Saturday at 7pm there was no sushi on the belt. It wasn't packed either employees didn't know what to do and they weren't simply putting anything on the table. I hope it gets better
A great sushi and sake experience. Absolutely wonderful service. Very well priced. Fun to have the conveyor belt to make your selections. I definitely recommend making a visit.e
Sad, disappointing, miserable. On a Friday night, it's dead and there's almost nothing on the belt. There's more staff than customers yet I've been unable to get anyone to request anything from the menu. What IS on the belt is dried out and poorly made. Smaller portion than anywhere else in town Sakura, Blue Fin. This used to be my favorite place now I wonder how they stay in business.
Prices have gone up. Out of stock of non seasonal items... I wish they'd clean their display case more than once a month... foods still pretty good
