Sinju Sushi

This used to be one of my favorite sushi places. Now I think I like Mio sushi better. This place is nice, staff friendly. The rolls were a little expensive for the quality. It's still really good sushi though. Top 3 in Portland.

My daughter and I often go to Sinju just to start off with the AHI TOWER...Tuna tartar in sesame oil base over crab & creamy wasabi sauce, avocado on sushi rice. It tastes as good as it looks and it always looks amazing

Really good sushi and a great bar. Sit with Lance at the bar for best service. Food is amazing and he's a wonderful bartender.

Yummmmmmm!!!!!!!!! Everything here is amazing and the lunch specials are very reasonably priced.

Great tasting Sushi! Higher quality sushi accompanied with a slightly higher prices. Service was a tad slow, but we did eat during the dinner rush. I would recommend if you like sushi! Also, beware that when they charge your credit card the charge will appear higher than what your bill. Their overdraft protection adds about $10 on your bill while pending instead of just $1 like most places.

This place was criminally empty when myself and colleagues dined here. Attentive service from wait staff, the bartender came over to personally check on our specialty drinks, as well. A+ customer service, and STELLAR sushi. I ordered three specialty rolls which was way too much and everything was delicious. Beautiful decor, and they have specialty private rooms you can book in advance.

I don't like giving bad reviews but this place was below average, but charging full price. The rolls had about a quarter inch of fish in them with lots of rice and the flavor was just ok. The bartender kept changing the music mid-song and adjusting the volume the whole time we were there. I honestly would have enjoyed getting rolls at a grocery store more. At least they wouldn't have cost nearly $30 a person and they would have tasted about the same.

Great sushi. Nice and relaxed atmosphere. My server, Patrick, was great. Last time I was there, they had a spicy margarita on the menu which sounded good but which I did not care for. Patrick had warned me about it and offered to exchange it for something else when I said it was "...interesting" but I declined. If I'm ever in Portland again, I would not hesitate to come back!

Once an amazing sushi restaurant, great decor, impeccable food and service. It felt special, outstanding Japanese chefs and wait staff in cultural attire. Last night the tables were sticky, it smelled of strong cleaning solution. The wait staff were very inexperienced, I had sushi delivered first in less than 10 minuets despite ordering appetizers. My date’s steak arrived along with the appetizers . Getting a second glass of wine ended up not being an option, as our very young waiter was more interested in talking to the front door hostess. It truly seemed like it was being ran by bored college students, no “experienced” individual was seen in the restaurant. So many other choices for an expensive sushi dinning experience in Portland. I’d be surprised if they remain in business by year end.
