Parking is a headache here as its located in downtown and you may have to drive around for a while until you find a spot. The area is also very sketchy as there is a lot of homeless walking around. I had to repark as I was not comfortable leaving my car there, even for 10 minutes. I wont hold that against the restaurant as that is not their fault. Overall the food tasted great and the service was excellent. There are signs saying they are currently understaffed/hiring so you may have to be patient. I came close to closing and there wasn't a huge selection on the train but you can always order from the menu.
We looked for Sushi close to our hotel and this was a great surprise! The selection is not as big as other sushi places BUT the quality is among the best. Highly recommend and way better than the price tag!
We've ordered delivery so often from this place, and it's been constantly amazing! Not so much this time. The bag was not crushed as far as we could see, but our sushi arrived in an absolute mess. And comon, who burns tamago!? :
This place is cool! Not your average sushi restaurant. You sit at the sushi bar or a booth if you prefer and sushi floats by you on a model train set. If you want to order something specific, you can do the usual piece of paper ordering method. I found the sushi reasonably priced and of good quality - not the best, but that’s not the type of place this is. I don’t actually eat fish but I had a huge meal of great vegetarian and vegan options. I was even pleased to see sesame balls roll by on the train, which I obviously grabbed. So good. We ate a ton and for 2 of us with tip it was about $65. I’ll be back.
Came in on a Sunday night about an hour before closing. I was having a bad day because of various minor inconveniences and I really needed something to cheer me up. This place was great! It had a mellow vibe and the employees were sweet. I saw various couples and a few solo people including me. I got very classic rolls and especially liked the spicy tuna. The miso soup was also good. Also, it was fun to see the sushi train go by!
We enjoyed this place so much we came back within a week! Great options, fresh fish, and love the train - feels like it's bringing me an omakase experience in the sense I don't know what will roll by, but I know it will be yummy. Keeps us from only getting our favorites and encourages taste exploration. Service is prompt, polite and consistent.
Love this place every time we go. The train is really fun, the food is fresh and delicious and the staff friendly. Great for a quick meal as you can start eating right when you sit down. When we visited tonight we had no problem finding parking and didn’t encounter any homeless folks.
My boyfriend and I walk here regularly, it’s our favorite spot to go for sushi. The little red head server is a sweet pea, and very attentive, the sushi is as fresh as it gets, with a wonderful selection on the adorable train that goes around. There is always seats open, oh and delish plum wine thank you for all the delicious meals, and more to come.
Family owned, local, great portions, great price. What more could you ask for?? Come on Wednesdays or Saturdays when there's sushi deals dine in only. The hand rolls are always bursting with fish, and I love how friendly everyone is.Food: 5/5
good sushi but small portions. it adds up really fast, me and a friend came for dinner and spent 40 each. each plate has 1-3 pieces on it for a price of $2-5 per plate depending on the type. i like the train but i’ll probably stick to sushi hada on the east side due to expense.
