This a a really good local eatery. I just went and was not disappointed. The people are friendly, food is VERY good and the place is really cute. It has a really nice bar area too. I've been there many times and have yet to experience a bad meal or a real problem. If your looking for your "new favorite place", give this place a shot. You may be surprised!

We live in the desert and yes, it is going to frozen fish. Frozen is not the problem. When I order a fish taco I want it to be filled with a fillet sautéed with garlic and Mexican flavors and cilantro. I do not want chopped up breaded fish. No chef on the premises. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were fine. Authentic? No. Great? Not.

The service is excellent! Everyone is friendly! The food is awesome! You really need to try the deep fried tilapia! There are a bunch of different ways to have it sauced! It's fantastic!

My friend and I had a splendid meal at Mariscos Altamar last night. The food was delicious, service impeccable and atmosphere welcoming and family-friendly. A bonus was Trio Los Amigos, led by Omar Villanueva, which played traditional and currently popular music, mostly in Spanish. Food and drink choices are ample; although seafood is their specialty, there are meat, vegetarian and child-size offerings. We will definitely return--driving from Albuquerque is easy and shorter than expected.
