Great food. But be prepared to wait a while for your meal to come. We waited 20 minutes to be seated and an hour for our food. They are extremely short-staffed and I waited almost an hour for my meal while everybody else almost finished theirs. If you are looking for a quick bite - not the place. But the food is great and the only reason I'm fair to give it 4 stars. Family-friendly with little activity sheets for kids to do. Serves alcohol.
Outstanding, delicious food! Our server “T” was excellent and so was the manager. Very friendly with good food advice. 6 of us at outside. Chicken and waffles were amazing, poke bowl was awesome and my friends that got the pizza and apple salad were all happy with their choices. And you just start with the spinach dip. Amazing!
The staff was exceptional upon entry. We were served quick as well. When our food hit the table I was floored! It was gorgeous! The presentation was beautiful. The food was hot. The taste was out of this world. I was so impressed. I took a chance on an unknown restaurant and sooooo glad I did. I will be back in the future
Ask for T when you come here. He took care of my husband and kids for my husband’s birthday. This joint has pizza and “everything else”. The Chimichanga steak was amazing. T recommended the strawberry rose margarita, which was also lovely. My kids enjoyed the freshly squeezed lemonade. Would definitely recommend.
Awesome place, yes, we arrived early, about 4:45PM. Seated as soon as we walked in. Service was attentive. Food was excellent quality. Had the artichoke and spinach dip. Couldn't get a picture, we ate it too quickly. Next was the mini-burgers. Amazing again, great texture with the char! Amazing flavor also, plus plenty of onion straws! Finally the pepperoni pizza. This pizza is straight nostalgia! Reminds me of the pepperoni pizzas in Ocean City as a kid 40 years ago.
Our waitress Mis was awesome. We absolutely loved the food and the atmosphere as well. It was our last stop while in Washington DC and we were really glad that we went there. My food was great and my fiancé enjoyed his pizza a lot! The service was quick and efficient!
Drinks were top of class so five the food flavors were a little bland for my taste, and the portions were a little disappointing. Salad was delicious and pretty hefty! I will definitely give it a second try.
Stopped by with a co-worker for lunch on a weekday. Clearly a popular place as it was fairly busy. I had the fig and prosciutto pizza and it was decent. I thought there was a bit too much blue cheese, but that's obviously personal preference. Overall, I would stop again if it was convenient, but not somewhere I would seek out.Dine in: Yes
I took some of my mentees at work to matchbox. Their happy hour menu is solid and reasonably priced. You tried a whole bunch of different foods but I only took a couple pictures. They are top 10 Black owned restaurants located in the DMV area. The service was awesome and the energy was peaceful. Highly recommend.
The place was very sleek, modern and inviting. The service was great and we even got some freebies sunglasses, chapstick, key chain when we left! The food was great too! The 3 mini burgers were “fire”. My recommendation would be try to avoid the bun on the grilled chicken to get soggy so quickly…maybe have the buns on the side?
