Maxon Shooters Supply & Indoor Range

Compared to other ranges around the area Maxon is the best hands down at least for shooting. Haven't bought a firearm there neither taken a class so I can only speak for the shooting experience. It's building is clean, newer and with excellent ventilation, something that you can't say from other places. Prices are a tad higher but not by much. Separation between stalls is adequate and the ones I tried are solid brick so safety is great. Saw someone walking making rounds and I guess they are checking for safety so that is nice. Other places you are mostly on your own and I've seen people shooting while their 11 and 12 year olds are being left alone in the back just behind where the father is shooting!

Last time going to this place. Always go for the lunch special and they always seem to some how over charge us. Whenever you bring it up to their attention you are given attitude and no help to fix the problem. I asked for them to fix the problem and the guy didn't even want to fix it. He gave us a card for one person to shoot when it should have been at least two. They have refunded before but this guy was just to lazy to put it in and give us our money back. When we were leaving the place, they had a truck that was parked behind our truck, which wasn't there before, and made it difficult to get out . We were stuck for a minute because the guys wouldn't move their truck up a little like it should have been. Everytime I have come here it's always been a headache. They guys running it are mostly rude and stuck up.

I had an incredibly exhilarating experience learning to shoot all kinds of different guns with Frank Esdorn today. He was a wonderful instructor and I loved his teaching style. Definitely coming back.

called to ask a simple question about the private rentals, and was told to go read the calendar online...maybe disconnect your phones if you don’t like taking questions. It’s not the first time I’ve been treated rudely over the phone, and apparently not the first person to be treated like that if you read more reviews. Sounds like the guy behind the gun store counter needs a different job

Village Sports provides better gunsmith services and Illinois Secure Firearm Systems provides better pricing on FFL transfers. Guns, ammo and accessories are overpriced at this place. Employees are rude
