Story

Welcome to Maxwell's Pottery located in the heart of Portland's Old Port. Established in 1988, Maxwell's offers pottery from all over the world and has been a prominent retail destination for over twenty years.

An impressive selection from Maine includes Monroe Salt Works, Camden Pottery and Shard Pottery. We also carry works from our neighboring state of New Hampshire.

Our European collection features Deruta pottery, an amazing hand-painted collection from Italy. We carry exquisite Bunzlauer pottery from Poland. Each piece is hand-picked from a huge array of colors and patterns. Our warm and cheery stoneware from Provence is a collector's dream- Maxwell's is the third largest seller of Terre Provence in the world. Maxwell's diverse Vietri line offers fine pieces from over 140 Italian artists.
