Mc Leod Correctional Center

Staff was amazing in visitation aside from being moved from next to my inmate to sitting across from each other (unknown why) nice little visiting area kid friendly! For a minimum security i expected wire fences like on shows and other prisons but it gives the men more freedom and gives them the trust with staff that they wont run off. I was highly satisfied with my visit and look forward to many more until my husband moves to a work center.

I haven't talked to my fiance for over a Month! Due to the confusion on how to answer the phones when a inmate calls. Another concern is the says he's getting out next January but they haven't changed his prison info. Overall this place needs changes bad! With the phone prison info system and overall keep them safe yes they're criminals but they also have FAMILY AND SPOUSES AND FRIENDS OUTSIDE THOSE GATES!!!! We Love & Miss You Anthony Gilliam.

I don't know how places like this is suppose to be but I was not impressed. The vending machine had very little to pick from due to them not being refilled. But the prices are affordable. The visiting area wasn't the cleanest. There was nothing for smaller children to do while they visit. I'm thankful that there was at least a place to visit and I am able to visit. Just the prisons in Oklahoma have things for the kids to do and things to do with there families. Maybe they could put in some children toy in the fenced area and have thing more age appropriate for the smaller children to do on bad or cold weather days.

They need to get air conditioners working here. Other than that I have heard all great things.

Are we really housing people without air conditioning. This should be a priority to be fixed. People have heart conditions, among other health problems. The administrators need to take care if this before the end of the week.
