While on vacation in the wintertime, my son and I walked to the Childrens Museum on a Sunday afternoon. Since we got hungry, I decided to stop by here for quick, cheap lunch. I placed an order via McDonalds app. I got my kid a 6 piece nugget happy meal with fries, apple slices, and apple juice. I redeemed an offer for free large fries with purchase. I got a McDouble only ketchup and a large sweet tea. The total was $7 and some change. The order was placed at 1:33pm and we received food at 1:38pm. I asked for BBQ sauce and they only gave me one… I didn’t want to seem greedy, so I didn’t ask for another but the lady saw my large fries and knew 1 wasn’t going to be enough lol. They forgot my kid’s apple juice. I got it and 2 more bbq sauces for me. The cashier, whose name tag read Jefferson, was very nice and helpful! I decided to sit in and eat. The food was fresh and no complaints.
Went to this location at 4:31 AM on 10/2/22 and placed a mobile order while walking in. The security guard saw me and promptly kicked me out of the restaurant and said they weren’t open despite the store having “open 24hrs” plastered everywhere including online, on the app, and on the doors. After I got kicked out they allowed door dashers inside to get food for their clients. Explain to me how that is a good business practice? Why does a 3rd party vendor matter more to your business than an actual customer who’s coming right to your door? Total stupidity and lack of care by the staff at this store. Typical DC fast food chain experience, horrible.
The food is typical McDonalds. Dining in is not a thing, as you can see from the picture. The business has obviously had a problem with the homeless. Loud jazz /classical music is played at all times; clearly meant to deter the homeless from taking refuge. Sometimes they will hang outside the door to the restaurant and beg for food and/or hassle you. My recommendation is to order on the McDonalds app and get out as soon as possible. The only reason I go to this location is because I live close by.
Two story McDonald's in a convenient downtown location with nice views from upstairs dining room. Flavors were all consistent with our McDonald's back home.
Ordering - instructs customers to take a table tent and food will be delivered to table. It will not. After waiting a long time, you will go find your cold food at the counter. All ordered items are not present. Most tables empty, but nearly all dirty. This location isn't unique. They've all given up on life, or any pretense of trying to fulfill the very basic, simple promises made by a McDonald's
There is NO sense of customer service. I am currently standing here and William is RUDE! I don’t care how busy and overwhelmed it could get but being rude to customers isn’t ok. We are understanding, patient and graceful but rudeness is unacceptable!! Do better or find another job.
On the corner of NY Avenue NW and 13th St. NW is this very small location. Maybe when constructed, square footage was at a premium and this was the only option. This McDonald's is in a prime location surrounded by businesses, museums and the perfect spot to service the masses. It's a missed opportunity because, seating is limited, no options for parking and lines form quickly and flow back into the seating area. Customers wait for their orders or can be seen standing and eating because of limited seating. There is a second level which was closed off and not utilized. The staff was busy so I cleaned off my own table. Someone came around later, but this was not a priority. Early in the morning, there is a rush of construction workers, business workers and a few people in need for shelter or a warm drink. I can only imagine a tourist bus or school bus arriving for a quick meal. The staff was friendly and made an effort to service everyone as quickly as possible. The murals on the walls are a pleasant and a inviting touch. We can't have everything, but at least this McDonald's is there making a difference at an affordable price.
Ordered to dine in and without pickles. Got paper bag to go and pickles. The tables are not cleaned often and the staff seems frustrated with the customers.Food: 3/5
So McDonald's introduced the in store ordering kiosks a few years ago, and if you were staying to eat you took a number tent and they brought the food to your table, which was kind of nice. NOW this McDonald's has decided to just call the number on your tent and you go to the counter with all of the carryout peeps. The kiosk was supposed to free up time for table delivery I guess, but that trade has now been eliminated. I guess everyone is short of staff, but I already have an order number in my receipt, so the number tent is redundant. Not a big deal--just a minor duping of customers.
A little slow at 8.30pm, but relatively clean. We only had ice cream and shakes, but they were very good.
