The folks at Meadowlark Lake Lodge in #Wyoming were super helpful and nice people. They let us pitch a tent before the resort was open for he season and when wether got a little tricky they gave us a room to wait out the storm. They have a restaurant and bar on the property and sell gifts and ice cream too. My son catch his fist brown trout in the lake and was elated. I recommend a stay at Meadowlark.

Our first trip to the Big Horns...Could not have been a more pleasant experience. They are under construction but that did not hurt us in any way. The room was perfect the atmosphere was great the Moose watching was amazing fishing was great. The owners were so helpful and very friendly. Leslie was very good at telling us where some great places were to fish and she was right!! Chef Jim is the greatest he prepared food that was beyond what our expectations were.. Our 2 grandsons absolutely enjoyed talking with him and cannot wait until we go back again next year..We had such a great time that we WILL BE BACK
SAME TIME NEXT YEAR the boys want the same room...very impressed with our entire experience..once again thank you and we know we have new friends in Wyoming..Kay

Over priced food. Rented a snowmobile and they didn't have anything ready when we showed up. Had to even ask if there was paperwork. They are rented through a third party who doesn't talk to the people at the lodge. Lady at the front said there was some damage on the snowmobiles that the "owner" knew about. Nothing to sign off on acknowledging the damage. Day later got charged 181.50 for the damage. Tried calling the owner as the the lodge suggested nothing but voicemail. The lodge wanted nothing to do with it and was rude when I explained that I was told the owner was aware of the damage. Basically stole 181.50 from us. NEVER RENT A SNOWMOBILE FROM HERE.

We booked a room a month in advance as we planned a first road trip with our two year old. We were checking in late so we called on the day to inform the reception and to ask for instructions...we got detailed instructions on how to get there and that we have a cabin number 2. We arrived late, the only cabin number 2 was in shambles, both door broken in and as we drove around for 45 minutes looking for another one with the same number.
The next morning, calling from another hotel in Buffalo the receptionist apologize for the mistake, showering meant to say the second cabin but never disclosed that name of the cabin, and said the name was in our email confirmation, which it isn't. She agreed to refund fully if I agree not to post a review. But then the owner stepped in, introduced himself as Wayne, engaged in extreme profanity and hung up on us twice saying there will be no refund and it was our fault for coming in late.
The place was in construction, no lighting to find the cabin, roads full of potholes, just minor details to add to the scam this place puts out there for 142usd a night.

This place is terrible! Over charged for an unsafe, poorly maintained property. There was a broken screen on the window that opened, another window that didn't open, and a slider with broken seals. View from the unswept deck was an excavator. Manager was rude when we tried to negotiate a lower price. We slept with the bear spray handy just in case.
