Love them

In my opinion they should not even get a star. I do not know who this company is or what they do. I do know they do not secure their data. I never had dealings direct with this company but was alerted this week that they had a data breech and that my name, SSN and address had been compromised. I wrote to them requesting more information and they have not yet responded.

I also received the letter Eric Jones, COO of MIE regarding security breach. When I tried to activate the Experian service I found that my engagement number they provided was expired. I called to see how I could receive this service to protect our identity. Their "Incident hotline" (out of Portland, OR) number that was provided on the letter told me it was impossible to do so. I asked to be escalated and never heard back from anyone after a week so I called back and asked how I could reach the company itself. Funny, they cannot protect my identity but they efficiently protected MIE's identity from me. They said they had no contact information for MIE. Lucky for the Internet. I Googled Medical Informatics Engineering and found they are right here in Fort Wayne, IN where I live. But it didn't help. When I called, both Kyle from their help desk and Andy, Director of Tech services told me the same thing. There was nothing more they could do and they expressed they have already done enough on this issue. Hello? ID theft can have far reaching consequences, it does not know a 3 month window. Not to mention the security breach occurred in May 26th and the letter from them did not even go out until July 17th. I guess it doesn't matter because according the other reviews, it may not have helped me much to have the code anyways. I hated the cavalier attitude of the MIE employees. No apologies. Very condescending. I am just one of the many and they have done enough. Washing their hands of it.

Eric Jones, COO of MIE, sent me a letter about a data breach of my PII and PHI. This letter describes a "free" subscription to Experian's "ProtectMyID" credit monitoring service. However, Experian was evidently not able to handle the volume of requests this has caused. I eventually got through but often get an error page when trying to use Experian's web site. So, poorly done MIE for (1) getting hacked, (2) choosing to work with a company that evidently isn't bright enough to be able to handle the web volume nor phone call volume needed to support their product, (3) not providing information about what company or companies you do business with that caused you to have my information in the first place.
