Memory Hill Cemetery

Hello, Thank you for our visit. My Brother Mike and I came over to visit your town of Milledgeville. We went to the courthouse looking for records of relatives, then came to visit the Cemetery. We had a Great time finding some of our lost relatives . We were placed in a Presbyterian orphanage in Clinton S.C. around 1968. Three tiny roots were pulled from your (soil). I was going in the third grade that year. Sherry,Mike an I found out we are related to the Gilmans and Hooks. Still have a great deal to look up. Other related names to our tree are the Knights, Branches, Johnsons, Nardis, Usrys. I talked with Mrs.Joe Dunn and she was enjoying the flowers. She talked of her Husband Harry who had moved to a site there. Everyone was very delightful and I felt as if I had stepped back in time just a bit. But, on leaving, I have to say that I really felt as if I had missed a Great deal more, by not having Milledgeville Ga. in my childhood. Would have loved to have known more of my folks. For any one that loves history this is a very interesting place to go on o e of there tours.
