I was a mother of children who went here both middle school and high school not a good school. Kids were mean and many kids left due to bullying. The board decided that the school needed to be more strict about phones so I couldn’t get ahold of my son at all during school hours. School was terrible and didn’t teach them anything that could actually help them in life and didn’t give them the opportunity to learn from their mistakes instead they just punished the, for their mistakes. Moreover my son and daughter couldn’t get picked up till later in the day because I had work. But for some reason the middle school aren’t able to be on the campus after school so they had to go to a after care program at the school where they charged me more money than I was making in the hours I worked after they got out of school. I would not send my kids there even if I was paid to it was one of the worst decisions I’ve made.

I am a high school student currently attending Menaul School and I would tell you NOT TO SEND YOUR CHILDREN HERE! This so called collage prep school is in fact the exact opposite of what it should be. Do not be deceived by the initial reaction of the school. When I first came here in 6th grade I did enjoy the school. But the school had gone down hill every year sense then, expecially when the new middle school director took over and when the students enter high school. They baby the students here more than my elementary school. For example, they don’t let you make any calls whatsoever on your phone so if your sick and need to use your phone to call home then you will be reprimanded for trying to call your mom. Moreover, the middle school director controls everything that the middle school dose and gives them no flexibility to learn. If Menaul School was a college prep school than they would have a college prep environment. But they in fact do the exact opposite. They in no way prepare you for life. In fact I can safely say the only reason I am still here is because of my two best friend who also attend the school. If even one of them were to leave this school than I can easily say I would leave this place in a heartbeat. Now i understand that some schools are strict and have strict rules. Yet, this school is not strict they baby the students so when they do go to college they are in shock. It’s funny the school advertises the high college acceptances rate but the actual collage graduation rate is lower than most. This school is a waist of money and I feel bad making my parent pay for the paychecks of the people who run this school, And i truly do wish that one of my friends would leave soon. Most of the people I know feel the exact same way but their parents give them no option to leave. So as a stundent I would recommend you to not to make your kid go here.

We love Menaul School! The Head of School Mr. Linsey Gilbert is doing an outstanding job running the School. He is always so friendly and greets the students every morning with a cheerful attitude. Mrs. Gilbert, Ms. Dawson, and Mr. Briel are just a few of my daughters favorite teachers. Not only do we love the staff at Menaul School by always making us feel welcomed, but the quality of education has helped my daughter flourish academically and she has never been happier than she is at Menaul School!

I am extremely disappointed in the so-called leadership of this school. The prior reputation has been sorely tarnished by Mr. Gilbert. Do not waste your money on the tuition. He lies to your face and takes advantage of not only the hard working staff, but the families of the children who now attend Menaul. I HAD planned on sending my daughter to Menaul, however, until the current President leaves, there is no future there for us!! Too bad our children are not receiving the kind of quality education they deserve!!!!!
