Good food, tiny sides, and kinda pricey. Got the Peruvian Steak sandwich with the pesto pasta side + the Sweet Heat Crispy Thai Chicken with the Dill Potato Salad side. Honestly everything was SOO YUMMY. Everything came out to be about $40 dollars which I guess is normal in Rice Village but still pricey to some. The cold sides were also great but it’s just so SMALL left us wanting more also the drink selection is alright beer, teas, lemonades. But I DO recommend this place and the employees were kind!
Love the atmosphere! Kid friendly! My little one loved the chicken tenders and he rarely does. The food was delicious! Derek gave us great recommendations on what to order. Will definitely be back! Thank you Derek and Lisa! Kid-friendliness: They have a table specifically for kids and a chalk board to keep them entertained.
I enjoyed my food and the location was a beautiful scene offering both indoor and outdoor seating. I tried this place for the first time and enjoyed kids eat free Thursday for my granddaughter. The quality of food was fresh and delicious. I only gave one less star because I would have liked a healthy French fry option as a side. The other side options did not appeal to my taste buds. I did try the couscous but it wasn’t for me. Otherwise I’d definitely go again and the atmosphere was very family friendly.
Consistently serving up healthy and delicious meals. Love the Thai Chicken Sandwich. It's simply amazing. This location has a great outdoor patio dining area. Also has access to a green space which is great for dogs and kids.
Food was great but service was its down fall. No one greeted us as we came in. Only our party of 2 and 1 other customer. Eye contact and communication was not there at all. Even after we waited almost 10 minutes for our scheduled pick up time, WE said thank you and that was greeted with silence. Even though the food was good, this bad service may override the food. This was my first and last time at this place.
What an adorable place! Mendocino's has a great patio area and equally nice, clean interior. It's counter service, and placing our order was easy. I ordered the chicken pesto caprese sandwich with a side of the thai watermelon and cucumber salad. The sandwich was fresh and tasty, and pretty much as I expected it to taste. The portion was quite large, so much so that I had to share half of it with the hubby. The watermelon and cucumber salad was cool and refreshing, and had a nice little kick to it. The hubby ordered the the Peruvian Steak Sandwich with a side of the Oaxacan potato salad. The potato roll does not look like it does on the website, it's much darker. I had a bite and it was delicious! Although hubby enjoyed my sandwich better, I found them to both taste great. He did enjoy the potato salad, for sure though. Parking is easy in the garage right behind the building. I definitely recommend eating here for a quick and casual bite!
Highly recommend if you’re in the rice village!! We stumbled in because we were starving and it was everything I could’ve asked for. I got the chicken pesto capriese and it was the best sandwich I have ever had. I am obsessed with the Oaxaca potato salad, it was great. Everyone was so nice the whole time, amazing service from beginning to end. If you’re thirsty, you should get their homemade beverages, the rose lemonade was great and the green juice was just amazing.
Behold, one of the best sandwiches of my life: Not So Fried Chicken. The tortilla soup was also excellent and my wife's caprese sandwich was out of this world as well. 10/10.
I am a Cali native and came across Mendocino Farms in California I did not have any idea that they had made it to Texas and I was absolutely elated. Once I found that out I quickly made my way to the closest one near me. This location is a very cute location. All the staff were friendly and very helpful and the food is delicious, I love the chicken Caprese sandwich along with the modern Caesar that crunchy quinoa is to die for they need to package that stuff up and sell it just on its own!
To be fair, the food is excellent, savory and well presented. Unfortunately, my sandwich dis not come with the promised side. Also, I ordered unsweetened ice tea and they told me that it was being brewed. I stayed for one hour and never showed up.
