Michael is such a wonderful guy, I appreciate his kindness so much. When I go to metro I have every confidence that he'll be there and make my night with his great vibes and well-established skill set. Great service can be very hard to come by in the salt lake bar scene, as are good humans. They're efficient, compassionate, and tidy. The remodel has made metro a top notch place as well. I love the new patio, the chandeliers are beautiful. They keep the bathrooms in good order and, depending on what event you're there for, all the booths can be a real saving Grace if you need to get off your feet. The way they've arranged the doors now make way more sense, super easy.

It has gotten so much nicer since they opened. People who work there are nice, they are bringing great acts more and more. It's been exciting. Kudos! However, I have one complaint. The cigarette smoke. They have a smoking patio outside connected with a wide hallway with no separator like a door. People are smoking too close to the hallway and essentially all the smoke gets sucked into the venue. It gives me headaches which is really unfortunate for a good venue like Metro. Other venues have some kind of doors between smoking patio and the inside so that it is not so bad. This place gets filled with cigarette smoke smell and it cannot be compliant with the indoor clean air act. Please consider improving the situation by installing a door to the smoking patio. Thanks.
UPDATE: They have installed a vinyl curtain at the exit to the patio. THANK YOU. But the cigarette smell is still pretty strong if you are at the booths. If they can install another layer of the vinyl curtain to make the hallway area a buffer zone, it'd be even better. But I really appreciate the change it has been made.

Way sick venue! Small enough that it was intimate with everyone around and the band. I don’t drink but the bar looked great and there were tables and seats available if you don’t want to stand up the whole time. Really cool place for a concert. The only downside is they don’t land a lot of higher profile bands. I got to see Jukebox the Ghost and that looked like the biggest band they had for the whole summer.

Pretty cool place to see a show except the venue is really small. The capacity is 600 and any major touring act sells out quickly. The pricing is fair for tickets around 20 to 30 dollars usually for any major band. The drinks are a little expensive, but that's any bar. 2 beers and 2 shots say goodbye 25 dollars. The upgrades and remodel they've done to the place is nice though. A lot better than it was.

Good set up for sound 👍. They didn't have the sound checked well/ & had too much feedback👎.
