The food here was amazing. The guacamole was truly the best I’ve ever tasted, and everyone at our table was so happy with the meal and the prices were quite reasonable. The only reason I can’t give this a 5 star review is because of how LOUD this restaurant is. Music with heavy bass plays so loudly you can barely hear yourself think, and having any kind of conversation is very difficult. I would order out from this place and the atmosphere is so nice with the candles, flowers and mood lighting, but the volume of the music was just a total downer. The service was also so so, our waitress forgot to give some people at our table water and didn’t refill unless we asked.

Food has that authentic Mexican culture taste. The food was delicious. Comfortable, n classic. One of a kind. The cost and amount of food was beyond expect. You have to visit. Features: They have cut back on a lot. The live music outdoor events. However it is temporary due to covid. Looking forward to the summer fun with hopefully expectation.

Straight to the point, I love this spot. I've been here 3 times already and each time I left full and satisfied. I just got done eating here and I'm already thinking of what to order on my next visit! Food: I like how big the menu is and that there is a mix between Mexican, American, Texmex, and LA style Mexican food. Incredible! There's just about anything for anyone with any kind of taste. It's like love at first bite but times 50 because the proportions are big. The proportions are well worth the price. Service: The staff is great! No complaints. Courteous and attentive. Despite how busy it was and how many orders they were handling, they took care of it. Atmosphere: There's a bar. Decent variety of tequila and beers. Nice mix of cocktails too. The decorations are so surprising since there's not much going on from the outside of the restaurant. Goes to show that you shouldn't judge a book by its cover because you'll be surprised once you step inside. I'm a happy customer! Thanks for your hard work, Mezcal Kitchen!

10.20.2022 update I love mezcal but they sent the wrong soup and on top of that the soup had undercooked/raw meat! I would let small issues or wrong order slide but uncooked meat is unacceptable in my opinion. I called them to reason with them about the wrong order and they argued with me that I placed the wrong order. We always order the consome birria soup and they sent the pata de roz, and they did not even address the fact that meat was not cooked. I think I am done with them. Old review. Best Mexican food in Bayonne. Great taste, Great prices, quick delivery or takeout.Their packing for takeout/delivery is also very good. Only other option in town would be El Aguila Dorada .

Great ambience here and the usually have really good spanish music playing , sometimes they play reggeaton or hip hop. The food is very good. love their chicken tacos and ceviche is great too. Nachoa for the table are warm and salsa is flavorful. The staff are friendly but the service can use some improvement, even on days it's not very busy. For example, on a slow day, water & cutlery wasn't immediately brought to the table after we were seated. We had to ask our waitress after waiting about 10 mins. I saw another table experience the same. Although I'm aware that inflation is making it difficult for restaurants to stay afloat, $6.50 for 1 small corn on the cob Mexican corn on the cob as an appetizer is a little silly. They can do better than that. They do have a nice deal for happy hour , margaritas are 2 for $10 between 12-5 p.m. but I wish they extended it to 6pm. All things considered , it is one of the better restaurants in Bayonne , for sure. I definitely recommend giving them a try .

Ordered from doordash they confirmed my order then out of no where 25 mins later canceled my order saying they don't have my items. I ordered like 3 different things and find it hard to believe they were out of pork and beef. Terrible customer service why accept order and make me wait 25+ mins then cancel it.

While it looks somewhat inviting the customer service was really not. She was the only one working in the front and there was only 1 other couple besides us. She was pretty brief and inattentive. I would have a least liked my water refilled. The glass was so small. The food unfortunately could not save this experience either as it lacked flavor. I have been to many Mexican restaurants, but this one I would not return to based on the service and the lack of flavor. I love Mexican food and it should never lack Sabor. I would not recommend this place for a good meal. I should have stuck with my original find Aguilla Dorada in Bayonne. They never let me down on great amazing food and good service. Also they didn't serve traditional chips and salsa here it was those other wafer like chips. I can't recall the name of these at this point in time, it escapes me. You'll see it in my pics. Sorry I don't really like giving bad reviews just honest ones.

The food and service were both great. I ordered the fish tacos for a late lunch and churros and coffee for a treat which were all delicious. The place was spotless and Kiara was super nice. Will definitely be going back.
