MG Neely Auction

Since day 1 of doing business with this man. I have found him to be one of the FEW honest buyers and sellers of items. The ONLY auction house that pays you in less than a few weeks . Can vary depends how quickly the buyer pays him for your item. Never had to wait over two weeks to get paid. Unlike any of the the Kodner auction houses. An auction house and auctioneer in FL thats honest and pays you. Plus he gets good money for the items he sells. You really can't go wrong here.

Purchased a painting for $90 + $27 Auction fee, so no problem there... then I got the invoice, shipping and handling $145 (What!) that's more then the painting is worth.. keep in mind I'm one state over... I purchase from all over the country, just received 3 painting from California $79 for all three paintings.. 9 yes I said 9 big artificial plant arrangements from an auction house in Arkansas, total charge for ALL $87... just got FedEx today. The painting I purchased WAS coming from FL To GA.. I don't mind at all paying for shipping and handling but I refuse to get ripped off... So I call and told them that I would pay for the painting to take care of my obligation and ask them to destroy the painting and throw in dumpster.. as it is legally my painting now.. let's see if they just put in another auction.. Totally pissed with this auction house as I literally waited all day for that lot to come up.. but I in good conscience will not pay that ridiculous shipping charge...

I'm very disappointed with this Auction House. I placed a high bid of $90 on a cloisonee cane 3 weeks before the live auction. The cane was sold to another bidder for the same price at the live auction which I couldn't attend. Catawiki informs me that at MG Neely, the auctioneer has the privilege of making such a determination. I find that dishonest and somewhat disgraceful. Alan Benjamin
