Mi Cocina de Amor

We stopped in for something quick and simple so we shared a Chicken Nacho for two. It was excellent and the price was around $10. I recommend you give it a try. They have a nice patio if you wanna dine outside too.

Odd but interesting decor. Food was good. Free chips and salsa was so good that we bought a pint of the salsa for use at home. Mama's nachos were split between the two of us. That plus 2 drinks (tea), the meal was $16. Well worth it.

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Charleston. Pretty much any thing you get will be delicious and a generous portion. The specialty tacos are really good. We sat outside last evening. It was very nice.

I have been here at least 50 times and never have left unhappy. If something is wrong, the staff will fix it or remove it from the bill. With that said, I’ve never had to ask for that personally. The food is unlike the “traditional” Mexican food people are used to because it’s made fresh, in house and using quality ingredients. It’s no surprise that this little spot in the capital city is gaining attention of people in other states. I would absolutely encourage anyone to eat here.

The place was decorated nicely. The food is far from Mexican or even Mexican-american. The staff couldn't even pronounce the names of the dishes, nor did they care to. It appeared every other table was well cared for, but our waitress checked on us once about 20 minutes after we ordered to say...."Oh, nobody brought your food out." This is after she got into a spat with another waitress about not wanting our table. I would not recommend this resturant.
