Now this is Sushi done right. Such a nice comfortable place for lunch or dinner. Family friendly. Decent price for the portion sizes. I'm allergic to shellfish and told them. They were helpful on my selections. It's a small place but comfy. The calamari was probably the BEST I've ever had!
Cozy sushi shop in NW 23rd. I am so happy to have found this sushi shop. It serves many different kind of sushi at very reasonable price. Quality is excellent and these creative rolls are all so yummy. This was my first visit but I will visiting here many more times in the future when I need quick sushi fix. Service is great, very personable and attentive. I have so many rolls to try.
Went here for lunch and the sushi was good. A more basic sushi place but was not bad at all. The service was very friendly. The place is clean. This is around the corner from the Main Street. I would recommend this place.
With the company's seafood warehouse nearby, it is hard to imagine fresher sushi without taking it right from the sea. Great selection of hot dishes, salads, soups, apps, sake, and fish at the most appropriate prices in Portland. I have been going for years with or without friends and have never had a complaint. Love the simple decor and the friendly chefs.
The staff were so kind and welcoming. We ordered 3 rolls Banzai, Dragon Mango and Shogun all of which were delicious. Our favorite and my recommendation was the Dragon Mango. I also had a taste for some Nigiri and let the chef choose his recommendations. He did not disappoint! Was some of the best salmon I have had. To top it off we got some mochi. I highly recommend the red bean! Was amazing! We will be coming back!
Unpretentious, fresh, and delicious sushi in a cozy, intimate space. The flavors, quality and freshness of the fish in conjunction with the perfectly seasoned sushi rice makes for mouthwatering morsels. The price is also very reasonable compared to other spots in the area. Service is attentive and friendly. Try the tempura here! You won’t regret it. Fried to a crispy perfection. When I am craving something hot and savory, I love getting their spicy seafood champon noodle soup~so~good. Will be back soon Mio, thank you! Updating with some photos from my recent dine in! I LOVED the Bubble Bubble Roll ikura and lemon wedge garnished roll. As always, appreciated the consistency of fresh fish and unique selection of rolls. I also tried the Aji Mackeral, a local special, and it was so fresh and tasty! Usually not a huge fan of mackeral, but the aji mackeral had a light, clean taste and I loved the ponzu drizzle. The special also came with the fried part of the fish and we made sure to eat everything including the bones.
Mio Sushi has been here for a long time. I came here in the 90s and their food was great back then. Fortunately, the sushi here is still great. We got the Sushizza used to be sushi pizza. It's just as good as we remember. The rolls were great too. You can't go wrong with Mio.
The agedashi tofu made with local tofu appetiser is out of this world. Yellowtail roll was small but fresh. Nice vibe.
Speed and service were really good. Unfortunately the fish in the salmon roll was quite off. My partner and I each had one piece and both found the texture and smell off putting. Now fast forward to the night, we are having mild symptoms of food poisoning frequent restroom runs. I’m very glad that we didn’t eat the whole roll. The restaurant wasn’t busy during the peak of dinner service in a popular neighborhood. The low turnover probably explained the lack of freshness of the fish. If you are looking for quality sushi, it’s worth paying a bit more and go somewhere else. We were looking for a quick dinner, and it was the least busiest place around. Now we know why.
I order for pickup very often. I’ve found a tiny bone in my salmon twice already and only received my order cold once before those are my only complaints. They’re my go to for sushi, they’re delicious and are very polite at the door. I love this location and definitely recommend
