My coworkers and I (5 people) had the pleasure of eating dinner here on 05/22. The wait was about 15 minutes which was not a problem. Our food was cooked to perfection , simply delicious. Our cook Leroy was funny but yet serious. He made the experience feel like you were at home. Our waitress was very professional , so we left her a nice tip. This was my first time eating at Miyami and I will definitely be back.

There’s two seating options. Well three if you count the bar, but the two I’ve experienced are the smaller tables near the sushi bar and the food-in-your-face. Both are outstanding. The food is always delicious: tender sushi, perfectly seasoned and cooked stir fry, and oh my gosh the green tea ice cream is shaped like a friggin flower and has like some sweet dough around the ice cream petals. I love this place and our family usually visits for birthday dinners, about two or three times a year. It’s a special treat.

Came with my young daughter and wife to give her a new experience. We were told it would be an hour wait. We decided to wait but there was no room to sit and wait except for the bar which is not for my daughter who is 5. We decided to wait in the car for a while. After 30 mins we returned to find open seats. After another hour waiting in their cold lobby we finally asked one of the hostesses why we weren't being seated. She stated that they had already called us and we weren't there. She then told us that we would be put on the top of the list. However 5 minutes later they sat two more groups before us. My daughter went into full REM sleep before we got seated and was too grouchy to enjoy the show. Points to improve: a foyer in the lobby to stop the cold draft that enters the lobby every time someone opens the door, more professional seating staff, and electronic alarm devices that alert patrons when it is their time to be seated instead of a handwritten chart. Besides that bad experience the food and chef were great as usual.

Really enjoyed it! We did a company function here with the full Monty production. Chef was terrific, wait staff was great, and food was very good.

The attraction of Miyami is really more the "show" than the food. The sushi takes forever to get to your table, and the rice and vegetables were extremely bland. My steak was very fatty, although it did have a good flavor. It is a fun place to go for family birthdays, though.
