I can't get enough, I'm still so thirsty for them. The bartender gnaty I think was her name fed me my drink like a momma bird. You can't find that kind of service at any other bar in Knoxville. Highly recommend.Food: 5/5
Thoroughly enjoyed hanging out with friends on a Friday night! Owner, bartenders very friendly, but have to say the best host ever greeting everyone with with a wagging tail! You have to check it out! Awesome cocktails!Service: 5/5
First time here and it did not disappoint! This may become my friend group’s new go-to place! Laid back and but also classy. Can’t forget Monkey running around - he makes a great host for a golden retriever!
Had a good first time experience although the gal working that night didn't seem too enthused to be working but maybe she just had a long day so I can understand that but overall had a good time and we will probably come backFood: 5/5
This is a great bar! I had the Watermelon Sugar High, which, frankly, is everything you could ever want in a cocktail. The service was fantastic and the bartenders friendly, and there's plenty of room for friends to gather in the cozy spaces that look out across the best parts of the Old City. Every drink was delicious and paired perfectly with the Good Golly we brought with us iykyk. Five stars. Ten stars! A hundred stars!
My favorite bar in Knoxville. Everyone at Monkey’s feels like family—the bartenders learn your name right away and get to know you, and lots of locals hang out there regularly, self included. It’s a safe space highly woman- and queer-friendly, it’s always clean and well-lit, the bathrooms smell nice, and the patrons are good people. If I’m out in town I’ll always stop by and say hello; it’s quiet during the day and a lovely, warm, welcoming place in the evening. While most of the coffee shops around town close early, Monkey’s has a coffee shop vibe but is open late, which is fabulous if you want a place to study/read/work remotely and prefer working later in the day. I’ve always enjoyed the pub/bar scene, but as someone trying to scale back her drinking, I especially love that Monkey’s has an amazing selection of mocktails and non-alcoholic beers that actually taste good not just glorified fruity bubbly water. They don’t serve food, but you can walk down the street for takeout and they’ll let you bring it in. And of course, the bar’s named for the owner’s golden retriever, so there are almost always cute dogs with friendly owners about.
Cute, dog friendly no-frills bar with laid back vibes. Woman owned. Safe space. Local hang out but still super welcoming. Kind energy. Clean bathrooms. Sometimes they have live music. Love this spot!Food: 5/5
Local hangout with good drinks and beer selection. They have limited food but charcuterie board and Buffalo dip were very tasty+Food: 5/5
