From the drive into the property all the way through check in you can tell you will be in for a special treat here. Pretty much a storybook setting though real. Stayed in both the Inn and the Cottages and the beds are super comfortable and linens nice and soft. Beautiful bathrooms with high end toiletries. The grounds are amazing with so many things to do and see for any age. Golfing, kayaking, fishing, biking, and even bowling! Service is top notch with Southern hospitality. Food is pretty good anywhere but don't miss breakfast at Buffalo. Trust me, your stay will not be long enough.

It’s an enthusiastic 5 star rating. This place is luxury amazing. It’s huge. It’s a massive like 10 square mile property with a hotel as well as private homes. So much space to explore. Being there, you never feel like you’re intruding, the staff is thoughtful as are the amenities and when they’re offered. If u can afford to stay here... do it. You will not be disappointed.

The one star is not for the experience. The experience is a clear five star rating. I recently stayed for three nights. On getting to the airport I realized I had left my hearing aid case (with hearing aids) in the room. I called and asked they be sent to me quickly and charge it to my room. And I waited and waited for them to arrive. When I called one week later the purchasing team (in charge of returning lost items) said they had just that day given the hearing aids to Federal Express. They were shipped Ground and will arrive four days later.
I called to complain to a manager about it taking 11 days to return and felt even worse. I assumed that this was an isolated incident. No. "The purchasing department followed proper procedure and we apologize for any inconvenience."
My one star rating is for a leadership team that undermines their outstanding employees with policies that make no sense (except to manage costs). $8000 hearing aids (which are a medical necessity) should not be returned with the same casual thought as a scarf.

Exceptional. The colossal trees as you walk the ground and attentive-but-not-intrusive service make this an escape worth the price. Definitely pay up for a water view as each room or cottage has its own peaceful patio.

I enjoyed every minute of my stay! The rooms were well appointed, and the bed was superb. I love the big southern style covered porches with ceiling fans. Every morning I went downstairs for the best cup of coffee and then walked the grounds and smelled the fresh air. It was heaven! I took a yoga class and then headed to the Spa where I got the best facial in the world. I have never been so relaxed. This is a great place to make memories with family and friends. The food did not disappoint. I have shared some photos.
