I was riding cross country from San Diego,CA to Princeton, NJ and wanted to get my bike looked over after a tip over while it was parked. I brought it to Moto Works, whose attentive mechanics gave my bike a thorough inspection at no cost. Thank you for your great service! I was on my way in no time with peace of mind.
This is the best shop I’ve been to in all of Colorado. I had a tire issue with my Africa Twin and they were able to see me right away. I was in and out in 20 minutes. They let me come into the shop to show me what they were doing. Everyone there was super nice and the prices were quite reasonable. They didn’t just try to sell me the most expensive fix they could think of. They gave me a range of options and they even suggested the cheapest one because I was almost done with my tires anyway. Hard to find honest places now a days but Moto Works Denver is one of the few exceptions out there that you can rely on. This is where I will be taking my bike from now on.
While riding through Denver on my way home, I had clutch issues on a large mid-model BMW motorcycle. After calling a few motorcycle shops to inquire about availability, one of the shops which was busy recommended Moto Works Denver. I called and spoke with King, and he said they'd work me in. They found new and used parts locally and picked up the parts at two vendors. Tim worked like a maniac to knock it out. He replaced both clutch cylinders. They got me on the road in about 24 hrs from when I rolled in! The repairs got me home, 1200 miles, the next day. Here's one grateful customer!!!!
TL;DR: great shop, helpful people; fun learning environment for DIY; and obviously talented mechanics I've always wanted to do my own maintenance work on my bike, so I was really glad to find Moto Works. I dropped into the shop with a basic idea of some things I wanted to try, but absolutely no experience. King and Tim were extremely helpful in the process. I left having changed my oil, bled my brakes, and inspected and checked tension on my timing belts, all for the first time. I asked what seemed like a million questions while they were working on other things, and they'd interrupt what they were doing to teach me. Even if you're not a beginner, I bet you'll enjoy working on your bike in a clean, well-stocked shop with a pneumatic lift and other tools rather than working at home without as many of the cool expensive "toys." By the way, while I worked on my bike, Tim was working on a bike from the 80s with about 60k miles on it. Honestly, I kind of decided it wasn't worth repairing as I saw it repeatedly sputter and refuse to start while Tim tried all the tricks in the book. Sorry to whoever owns it that I dared think that; I know it's different when it's yours. Tim was of course able to get it running though. Impressive mechanic work, and pretty cool to get to watch it first-hand. These guys are the real deal.
These guys are great. Like a lot of bike owners I don't live in a setting that allows me to do work on my sled- I rely on a decent shop to keep me running and safe. Located right off of Santa Fe and Evans, Moto Works has the skill to perform pretty much any maintenance or repair work you need. And as advertised, their prices are extremely fair and legit. I brought in my '99 Kawasaki that I had just purchased from a private party, and knowing it needed some TLC we went through the list together. They were honest about their recommendations and made the effort to source used parts wherever possible. Long story longer, the bike is running great. If you have some skills and feel you can do the work yourself- but just need a space to do it- they also rent out service bays for the DIY enthusiast. Great shop!
These guys are amazing. I recently bought an old motorcycle to fix up and just learn about bikes in general and these guys have been nothing but extraordinary. They do great work on my bike for things that I don't feel comfortable doing, and they constantly give me advice about what I should be doing and which parts need to be replaced. They're great mechanics and people who want nothing more than to help you get your ride running. I always recommend them to my friends, Moto Works is the best!
