Mount Peace Cemetery

Beautifully silent. "We swallowed our tongues, fleshy caskets for our feelings buried in the cemetery of our guts Do you feel that turning in your stomach? What we left unspoken buried is rolling in its grave." Annamaria Dosseva.

Staff was extremely nasty to my elderly mother and elderly Uncle. My mother was driving into the cemetery and there was a large truck in the middle of the roadway, there was no way to go to move out of the way...you either had to hit tombstones or come up on the office side walk slightly first two tires. My mother even said, "Oh, I dont want to get up on the side walk but maybe I'll go just for a minute"..And just then, an aggressive man came out of the office saying that we had to get off of the side walk. Which my mother did immediately, especially because he said it so aggressively. My Uncle got out of the car to request the man's help with locating their parents plot buried somewhere on the grounds. He apologized and said 'there was a truck in the way'. The man said " Then you move over, you dont come up on the sidewalk!" Completely unnecessary. My Uncle asked about the plot and he said " I cant help you and closed the office door in a rush". How dare he speak to elderly people in that matter, especially when they are grieving.

So we get to the cemetery and after riding through twice to get closest to the open plot one of the workers tried to deny us access to lay our grandmother to rest. There is literally a dispute between the worker and the funeral director. The cemetery worker wanted us to walk over several graves to get to the place where my grandmother was to be laid to rest. We have older relatives. It was a small amount of people, and he literally stood in front of the hearse doors to deny access to my grandmother’s body. I’ve never been so angry. Everything was paid for. It was not a matter of money. They claimed another family was coming with their loved one. Okay I understand that, however, their plot was at the location where they wanted us to walk from and they were not there. The funeral director has promised to make a formal complaint and in the mean time during this tremendous time of grief I feel the need to let everyone know how unprofessional these people at Mt Peace Cemetery were. My grandmother didn’t deserve this during the final phase of putting her to rest.

This is the resting place of the majority of my family on both sides. I periodically come to visit their graves and the ground keepers are very helpful and respectful as well. I've never had any problems here.

Both my grandma and my great grandma is in my peace so we wanted to place my dad here as well but the experience with my dad has been unpleasant my mom paid for a Saturday funeral witch was $2575 but we had his funeral on a Monday witch should have been $2075 some kind of way $500 of my mom money is folding around where and nobody knows where the money is now she being charge for a liner that was already included in the price what I don’t understand is you guys make millions why is you playing with my mom coins ‼

The groundskeeper and office staff were so kind & tactful to my family. My sister's remains are interred here in a pretty area, predominantly babies & children. It's well kept and peaceful. Thank you for your kindness.

I was there 4.pm and they did not let me in when the hours says 4:30 i ubered here paying $60 made it on time 4 pm they shut the doors on me and told me to go away. guy that works there he could’ve let me in the time says4:30. I made it in by time but they told me they are closed they were not! Wasted my money! I told him this is my only day off why cant i get in 5 mins hours says 4:30.i was there by 4pm

I miss you so much grandma misses Mamie Louis Washington May you rest in peace I Will Always Love You! I will never forget you. I will always keep you in my mind and keep you in my heart I will walk with kindness had love for everything I see and can't see family friend and foe that's what I was taught

Do not bring your love ones here This us to be a nice place to lay family to rest but the last few years have been horrible. The grounds keeper is rude, disrespectful and unsympathetic.

My brother & mother is there. It's Close to me . Went to visit my mom &brother. Took mom flowers for her birthday on July 4. Each time i take them flowers someone takes them smh
