Mountain View Tire & Auto Service

Been meaning to come on here and leave a bad review on this place to warned people about their service. Do not use this place. I have brought 4-5 Vehicles here for minor works. Last time I had my Mercedes ac compressor changed, along with ac control module replace, for which they kept for 30 days, not being able to find the problem. On the day I picked it up, I noticed my Subs $600 & amplifier JL 1000 $600 was not in the vehicle. When I called them the next day they said they had NO IDEA about it and they have had theft in their property lately. Now keep it in mind my vehicle had NO broken window and it’s a Mercedes ML-500 you can’t slim Jim it. So either an employee stole it or they left my vehicle unlocked. I later noticed a couple computer I use for programming keys were in there too. So I lost about $5,000 in products and spent $900 for repairs. Around the same time I picked up my BMW they repairs for $2,000 in parts and labor and a day later my motor blew up. Yes, I could take them to court, but I make enough money to call it a loss. Bottom line, DO NOT USE THIS PLACE! They will NOT honor any theft or damage while in their care. Look elsewhere… They are only good for small odd jobs, nothing else. You have been warned.

Cannot recommend this store in Candler, NC. My wife and daughter showed up needing a punctured tire repaired that was losing air at about 5:30 pm. They were turned away due to “too busy for the rest of the day.” They had to drive away in an unsafe car to scramble to find another shop to fix. They got it fixed, but it started leaking again a couple days later, so I decided to take the car in the early afternoon to this shop thinking there would be plenty of time to get the tire repaired. It’s not that hard. I was turned away early afternoon for the same reason. Folks, this tire shop does not appear interested in establishing trusting relationships with locals. I do not trust this shop enough for an expensive tire purchase because they don’t seem to be willing/able to care and service your purchase. This business does not seem to understand that the best sales come from service.

After calling multiple places and not getting anywhere, I was able to speak with Andrew and he was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He asked a lot of relevant questions over the phone and provided me with some DIY advice and the issue is resolved. I greatly appreciate the time and knowledge provided.

I came here to get a prospective car checked out and Andrew was awesome every bit. He fit me into the schedule on hours notice and checked out the car thoroughly and tried to not let me pay him. If you need anything done ask for Andrew.

We have taken our vehicles there many times and have had consistently great service. Their entire team is awesome, and we always appreciate their knowledge and straight forward nature in explaining what we need to know. Absolutely would recommend Mountain View Tire for any of your vehicle needs!

If I could leave zero stars, I would! My elderly mother brought her car here for an simple oil change. They did it. But then they tried to tell her that her brakes were worn down and needed replacing. My mom said she wanted to think about it and left. They proceeded to call her at home and tell her they were deeply concerned about her safety and that her brakes could go out at any moment. That she needed to come in and have them replaced right away…needless to say, I had them inspected and they are fine! This company preys on elderly women!

Do not get an alignment here! I took my car in for four new tires and an alignment in September 2020. Four months and 4,700 miles later, my rear tires were bare and needed to be replaced. I knew something was up, as my previous set got 40k miles, so I took it into BMW of Asheville for inspection. They re-did the alignment and found it off by the exact amount Mountain View Tire adjusted it, only in the opposite direction. Turns out Mountain View Tire incorrectly adjusted it almost a full degree on both of the rear wheels, when it was actually perfect to begin with. I have attached the alignment print outs from both. What is even worse is that when I called and talked to the manager, Billy, he claimed that it must have gotten bumped off after the alignment, because their alignment machine is very expensive and they never make a mistake. Very disappointed in the quality of car service and customer service. Save yourself from this terrible tire shop. Another lesson in you get what you pay for. Just the fact that Billy suggested they got bumped off by 1 degree on both rears is ridiculous and only adds to the fact that these guys have no idea what they are doing. To add, they torqued my lugnuts down with air tools and it required a 2 ft breaker bar to loosen.

I can't say enough about the amazing service Mountain View Tire & Service provided. My teenage sons had a "mishap" on their spring break trip that resulted in a shredded tire, a broken rim, and a worried mom. Mountain View fixed everything in a timely manner and were so nice and helpful whenever I called to check in. Highly recommend!!!

I always come to these guys, cause they always do me right and make time to check my trucks out. They are really good guys and I appreciate what they do for me and I give them 5 stars all across the board. Keep up the good work. Tena.

These guys are awesome! They helped me out with a tire issue outside of the shop. I really appreciate their help, I was able to get to work in time. Even though I was in the middle of the road their passion for helping their customers goes above and beyond. Will for ever be thankful with those two men that gave me a hand. Highly recommend this place!
