This pool has long outlived its usefulness. The locker-rooms smell of fungi and the pool's air circulation system is so poor the facility has been closed on several occasions due to toxic fumes. Ames High has outstanding swim teams that must suffer is this swimming hole.

Nice facility. Open swim hours are nice all year round, but especially in the winter when the outdoor pools are closed.
