Murphy's Pub and Grill

Normally we have great service, but tonight was the worst. We came in at 9 with our kid. We were told we couldn't have our kids there past 10pm. We totally understood that. We got our food finally at 9:51.... As we were waiting for our bill, we were approached by a employee and told we had to leave.... before we could even get our bill paid. If it was such a big problem, why weren't we a priority to be served more quickly and get our food faster? All in all, it was an upsetting experience and the worst I've had in this town. Beside that, the food was fantastic, but in the 9 minutes we had to eat it, it kinda tasted a bit sour.

What's not to love about Murphy's? When I lived in Rapid for about 6 months thus was my spot! Good beer and cocktails, especially their seasonally rotating signature cocktail menu. I still think about those rosemary margaritas. The food is great, too. It's the most expensive item on the menu, but the elk tenderloin stroganoff is worth it. My favorite meal there was a daily special, though. It was a steak (I don't even remember the cut) with a jalapeno-agave demiglace, and topped with tempura battered jalapeno strips, served with mashed potatoes and asparagus. During the few months of the year it isn't bitter cold outside, the patio is super fun as well.

Went there with a friend last night. Had a great time. The atmosphere was relaxed and friendly. The drinks were good, little pricey though. Then we had some of the best fried pickles in rapid city. Sitting in the comfy chairs next to thier fireplace was a great way to end the day.

Our server, Adam, was very friendly and went above and beyond to give the best service! The environment was so welcoming! I felt like I could be casual but get top quality food, the best combo on vacation! I’d highly recommend!

The buffalo meatloaf was amazing and our server was excellent. He was very attentive and accomodating!! The atmosphere is super comfortable and relaxed. They also have an awesome beer, mixed drink, and wine selection if you're looking for a good drink. This is restaurant is a must for any Rapid City visit!
