My wife and I have been patients of Dr. Capps for over five years. He has done cataract surgery on me, and I was quite satisfied. However, when I made appointments for our annual checkups, I was told "If there have been any changes in your insurance, bring the new cards." We have the same insurance as last year, so my wife did not carry her purse. When I told the receptionist this, she replied very hatefully, "There's a sign right there on the door that says if you don't have your card, you will have to reschedule the appointment."
Okay, so that's the rule and we are not better than anyone else. However, I refused to be talked to in the tone of voice she used with me. I replied, "Well, give me my card back also." Her response was less than professional to say the least. We will not be going back.
