Im new to the music scene and these guys got my back. I took some lessons and the instructor was really nice, the pace was perfect. It was all I needed to gain a little prep into going about it on my own outside the classroom!
The service is willing and very welcoming. I got some heads ups on different recording interfaces and it ended up really helping my overall studio setup in the end. These guys like seeing you come in, so don't be shy.
If you are looking for a good guitar instructor, talk to Clay!

It's a cool little store. It's not the nicest, but you can't expect much from that part of Milford. The staff is very helpful, if they don't have something in stock, they order it for you and call when it arrives. If they have a shipment of said item coming in, they always set one aside for me until I came again. They're very easy to talk to and they definitely know what they're doing. I take lessons here too, the teachers are very nice and helpful. I love my lessons, and if I need to buy a book or something for them, they give you student discount for taking lessons. There's a ton of traffic sometimes, but it depends on the time of day, but if you don't like waiting, there's always back roads. A lot of the streets are one way if you take the back roads, so I wouldn't recommend taking them if you don't know where you're going because you can't just turn around and go back if you get lost.

I love this store. I don't go to any of the big name music stores anymore but just come here instead. I know it's part of a chain but it really has more of an individual feel. Great special events, lots of lesson times and they're within a two minute walk of the municipal lot right in the middle of Milford so very convenient to get to by car. Traffic in Milford is not the store's fault: you just have to know when to travel around Milford, as most of us do who have lived here for any length of time. There's a nice mix of very useful electric and acoustic guitars (my focus) and if they don't have something you want, they'll order it and call you when it's in. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable. I bought guitars from them, I rented instruments for my kids from them and I'm constantly picking up accessories that I need. My friendly local music shop.

The employees there are extremely helpful. They'll take the time to help you figure out exactly what you need. I took on baritone saxophone after playing alto for four years and they helped me figure out which mouthpiece, reed stiffness and brand, etc. I've been playing Bari sax for 2 years now, and went back to talk about bass clarinet things the other day (and microphones for my singing) and the service was just as amazing as it had been before. I'm thoroughly satisfied.

I bought a higher end Eastman acoustic guitar based on a Music and Arts sales pitch that Eastman provides a "life long" warranty based on the quality of their workmanship. Just under 3 years later, the finish cracked on the back of the instrument and I'm a month into the process of getting it addressed with Music and Arts. Eastman claims the New England climate is known for it's changes in humidity and that their instruments dry out because of this. They won't accept a return or even provide a return authorization as a result. Their guitar came with a humidification package which, I purchased. I guess if you live in New England, and are expecting Eastman to stand behind their warranty, you can expect this response if the guitar's body "dry's out and cracks". I have had Taylors and Martins and this problem has not occurred. This sales pitch is a sham, as is the warranty....and the Music and Arts team completely steps away and leaves you on your own. Not worth spending money on Music and Arts "premium Eastman line".
