After 10 days wandering around Montana and eating all meals in restaurants, this restaurant had the best and most interesting food, by far.  This food would be creatively excellent in any city anywhere.  First rate.

I almost don't want to say how much we love this fine restaurant, fearing that it may become too popular. It deserves to be. The consistently delicious food, the fresh ingredients, attentive friendly service, and local atmosphere make it among SW Montana's best. We love this place. And the cookbook has a lot to offer too.

If I could give another half star I would only because 5 stars are off the charts, but this place is a true gem in Livingston.  

Walking down the street a stranger directed us here and he didn't steer us wrong.  A small but fresh and well prepared menu, good location in downtown Livingston, and artsy feel.   

Service was great,  bistro atmosphere and quiet enough for good conversation.  Our waitress gave us a bonus huckleberry bar to take home because we were too full for dessert. 

If you are debating 2nd Street Bistro or here,  you will be very happy with Mustang!
