Mzizi Afro-Caribbean Eats

Mzizi has a great modern twist on Afro-Caribbean restaurants. From the modern decor to the chipotle style ordering of a choice of rice poultry and sides, I've haven't seen anything like it! The egusi stew, fried fish, plantain, and fried yams is my favorite. Definitely would rent out the space for a birthday party

The food here is amazing!! Best jollof rice I've ever had. The space is great and has a cool vibe to it. Love the atmosphere and the hospitality. Always will be my go to spot! 10/10 would Recommended.

The restaurant's service and food is definitely MAMA AFRICA'S HIDDEN SECRET in Newark. I enjoyed the aroma, spices, flavor of the dishes. The portions are hearty and brain food for the soul...yum yum

WHAT CAN I SAY.. THIS NEW SPOT IS A GREAT COZY PLACE. I CAME HERE WITH MY 2 SISTERS FOR DINNER. THE YOUNG LADY THAT TOOK OUR ORDER WAS A SWEETHEART. THE FOOD IS D.E.L.I.C.I.O.U.S.!!!! WE WILL BE COMING BACK HERE TO TRY THE OTHER FOOD.. GREAT JOB!!!

the food is so banging !! It has become my go to spot during lunch time. The customer service is wonderful and the environment is a whole vibe. Love it here ! If you have a chance stop in !!

I really love the food here.. I am glad that there is A place where I can enjoy a great authentic african meal... I try to come at least once a week... plus supporting black owned businesses is key.

I don't live in the area but definitely worth the trip. I ended up there to meet up with some friends and was thoroughly impressed - can't wait to try the rest of the menu.
