A small little health food store located in the City Market or River Market. Especially nice to have now that the only other North option has closed down. They have their own little parking lot. Parking in the area isn't great. A pretty good selection for the small size of the store. They have Central Soy smoked tofu! Alternative Baking Company cookies, Kombucha and some other good staples typical of a health food store. Prices are high as is typical, some items are more reasonable, some are a bit excessive. Definitely worth stopping in if you haven't.
I love it. This location is unique, in that it's a shared building and the shape of the space makes it seem small, but it's bigger than it looks! They have a surprising amount of groceries as well. Yes, the cost is a little more than your typical grocery store, but it's better quality food. Organic, non-GMO, and they have lots of local products! Keeping it KC. It's a nice little shop and the employees are helpful and generally kind. I appreciate that kind of treatment. I don't live downtown, but I will shop when I'm in the neighborhood.
If the cared more about not having seed oil ridden crap, and less about having soy, and preservative filled vegan garbage, I would buy a lot more of my groceries there. Do better.
For a small store they have a good selection, and nice staff.
I go here almost every week. I love their selection of kombucha, tea, and snacks, as well as herbal remedy medicine. They are very kind and always helpful.
This is a sweet store. It was my first time here on Christmas Eve Day. I was trying to buy some Just Egg for my Christmas morning breakfast. Sunfresh did not have any, neither did Cosentino's have any. I called over to Nature's Own and they had said they had some. Lucky for me, they were open. I went in about noon bought 3 bottles of Just Egg, some produce, and some Zum hand soap. I plan to return frequently due to great parking, nice owners, safe and healthy affordable organic products and a surprisingly larger store than it appears on the outside.
With a larger selection than you expect from the outside this grocery store is vital to the River Market neighborhood. Understandably due to the size, prices are a bit high.
Great grocery store all around. It does have higher prices compared to big chain stores but that is to be expected. That being said, the products are of MUCH higher quality. It also carries a wide variety of locally sourced products which is nice as my family prefers to support local businesses. Excellent beer/wine/liquor selection. Fresh local produce. Meats sourced less than 30 miles away. I stopped in to see what all they had to offer and I'm confident I can purchase almost everything that I would normally get from Hy-Vee, just with a higher price tag. I'm willing to take the price increase for higher quality and healthier foods.
Good selection found everything I was looking for
Apparently talking to coworkers instead of greeting and thanking paying customers is more important than the cashier’s job.. I was never greeted my receipt was put on the counter so I asked am I done no hi or thank you cashier stated oh we are just busy but grabs her cigarette to take a smoke break cashier definitely needs to be coached on being professional when interacting with customers… sad experience choose better cashiers NATURES OWN!
