I dare say the dinner here is better than the dim sum. I've been coming here for years but not in awhile since Covid. Attended a wedding banquet and the food was really good. Service was hit or miss and I'm not talking about them being too busy to not be attentive. Just some workers were better at addressing the customers. Seafood dishes really shine here. And the lamb chops are very tender. It's a must try! Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian dishes: tofu, mixed vegetables, assorted stir fry, noodles and fried rice.
My friends and I come here often for birthday dinners, and always reserve one of the large private rooms. We always order the live king crab that they make in 3 different dishes - deep fried with garlic, fried rice and over flat noodles. My friends usually over order lol and everything is great, and there's always enough for leftovers the next day!
Probably one of the best Canton style in flushing. Food is savory but not too salty. Has full flavors of each dishes. The portion is average size. Seafood is fresh and has plenty of meats. Definitely will come back for delicious food!
One of the better dim sum restaurant in Flushing area. All dishes are hot, fresh and savory. Best part, no need venturing into downtown Flushing where parking is next to impossible.
The food is hit or miss here so it's difficult for me to review. On good days, the dim sum is good and they have a big selection unlike many other places. I like unique dishes like the purple yam buns and they often make the traditional dishes spare ribs, Phoenix/chicken feet, tripe well. But sometimes the dim sum dishes could use a little longer braising time, so it's hard to tell. Dinner dishes can be hit or miss as well but are decent for the most part.
One of the best Chinese Restaurants at Flushing, Queens. It is Right off LIE Main St exit. Definitely suggest to make reservations otherwise you may not have a table.
Lake Pavillion is a very busy Dim Sum spot. They do have valet parking in a small lot. There is also metered street parking. Cash and credit is accepted. The flavors and quality of the foods was very good. The service was very accommodating. Definitely would come back to try more. 12/2021Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesCurbside pickup: No
I have been coming to this place for Dim sum and used to enjoy the quality of the dishes but now I find it rather dull and tasteless and redundant. Maybe the chief lost there enthusiasm and inhibition for cooking. Beats me. I don't know but there's no flavor to the food. It's just oily. Isn't it that we go to a restaurant because we enjoy there food ??? And nothing else. The atmosphere is still the same. Pack you in like sardines, noisy and crowded. They need to up there cooking skills.
This is the 2nd time I came here and the first time was to attend a birthday banquet. Place is rundown and not at all appealing The food wasn't bad but the service was horrible. I was told that my host booked a room that can accommodate 3 tables of 10 people per table so we can be seated comfortably. When we showed up, the restaurant made us sit in a room with 2 tables, and 14 guests per table. The food came all at once and before dessert was even served, the waiter shoved the bill to the host and began clearing the table with people still eating. As it was a birthday banquet, guests were taking pictures and the restaurant staffers yelled at us to stop, get out of the room as they were seating the next dining party. I was taken here again on Mid Autumn Festival Sep 10 and this time the restaurant made me wait for one hour before being seated despite after we made a reservation with a credit card deposit of $200. We ordered off the menu instead of having a more expensive customized menu and the dishes were much smaller and the quality was actually quite mediocre. As it was Mid Autumn Festival, we added a live fish for steaming and that's when the fun began. The fish were taken from the tank, weighted, tagged with a table number and the price put on to our bill. The live fish cost $40/lbs, and at 2 lbs 4 oz and cost us $90. As the ordered food arrived and were literally thrown onto the table as if we are dogs, we saw our fish being served to patrons that we think comes often we saw the tag. We complained for 45 minutes and we were cursed at by the well trained staff, told to shut up and not to cause any trouble...And finally a tiny fish showed up see picture. And they rapidly served dessert of sweet soup, low quality mooncakes, and cut fruit, and handed me the bill. THEY DEMANDED THAT WE PAID IN CASH. The bill was $750. When I put the minimum gratuity of 15% after what they have done, they chased after us and ask the valet not to give us our cars unless we pay a minimum of 25% gratuity. THIS RESTAURANT IS A FRAUD RUN BY THUGS, AND PROBABLY PATRONIZE BY SIMILAR TYPES.... There are much better restaurants with better food, decor, environment and SERVICE in Flushing GrandCongee Village, Golden PalaceDong Yue and etc STAY FAR, FAR, FAR AWAY....RUN! Parking: Valet parking with attendand asking for. $5-10 tips. Free street parking up the block
The dim sum tasted pretty bad. The har gow skin all fell apart and stuck together, the black pepper beef rib tasted weird and everything else is mediocre at best. We literally sat down ordered a bunch of stuff, tasted the dim sum and left in less than 10 mins. That's how terrible it was.
