Great meeting space we attended Fan Expo 2023 here in halls I and J huge facility. Very convenient to many dining options and lots of hotels within walking distance the auditorium is spacious and has great lines of sight throughout the theater. The meeting rooms are spacious and audio is better than expected. If booking a large scale event this venue would be very high on my list to talk to. Staff were all friendly and helpful from a director in a suit to the housekeeper and security guards all over they were all easy to talk to and get what we needed.
The Ernest N Morial Convention Center is a great venue for Trade Shows, Conferences, Exhibitions and much more! I was there for the CTIA Cellular Telecomunicacion, Internet Association show which is the biggest Cellphone and Consumer Electronics show in USA and our experience was great. The convention center has many hotels, restaurants, and entertainment places near by; so it’s very convenient to walk around and know and experience a little bit of New Orleans. The venue has a great capacity and the facilities logistics, food and beverage services are great you do not have to leave the center to eat and get some refreshment; we spend the entire day at the convention. If you are considering or going to an event at this venue, you will not be disappointed ;0 100% recommended
Its SO big. Many conference rooms, halls, and places to view the sessions. The Riverwalk mall is right next door. Quick to walk to many hotels and also not to hard of a walk up to French quarter. I came for a conference but it was easy to walk around and get to many great restaurants nearby. Lots of taxi and rideshare services to the airport. The conference also had live jazz as well. You will get many steps just walking from one end to the other.
TIP - eat your breakfast or lunch BEFORE arriving at the convention center. I arrived early and still had to wait in line for 20 minutes for limited options like a pretzel, a bran muffin, and a powerade; for breakfast! Also note that you need your best walking shoes. It took me 10 full minutes to walk from the entrance to the middle of the center at full pace. I didn't understand the size of the place until this morning. The concrete also makes it hard to walk on if you have no foot support in your shoes. Great Internet connectivity and restrooms at every Hall doorway. Note: there may be more than one event happening at the same time so understand which Hall you need to be at. COVID-19: the convention center uses the CLEAR mobile app, the same used at the airport, to verify immunization and negative test results.
Went to this center for the ISTE Live 2022 and it was very nice. Every thing was labeled and easy to find. The vending machines need to be refilled more often. And there are water refill stations on the top go to 3 and go up again. A few of the bathrooms were super clean but then a few on the last day need attention. This was an international conference with thousands in attendance. The guy pictured is a worker and he needs a RAISE he was the best he was cheerful, kind, helpful, insightful, eveythubgbthus venue needed. There was another worker by the restrooms and the vaccination area I could not get a pic but he also should be on the raise list.He said to go to the restroom he needed a smile. And he would even you a joke to get one. It was a great all around venue.
Big center with lots of halls. Clean halls and restroom areas. Long way from the main entrance to the furthest halls 12-minute walk. Cold temperatures for indoors. There are only a few dining options in the center and it is a little bit from restaurants 15-minute walk
It is the Essence Festival of Culture this year at New Orleans Convention Center. To enjoy people, community, Black Businesses, Beauty and Special Guess Speaker. It was off on great start 2022 Essence Festival! I Love it!
I attended Essence Festival of Blcak Culture here today. The convention center is extensive large to accommodate multiple events at the same time.
is enormous. have to rent a scooter or bike to get from end to end . is a good way of exercising every day. is a pretty center. most of their staff are very friendly. Love the New Orleans Energy so far. nothing happened while visiting a d walking around.
Attended the convention center for the Miss Universe pageant. The staff were generally regarded by several attendees as incredibly rude. The staff were hostile to guests. There was a breakdown in organization which caused guests to miss the opening of the show. Worse than that, your staff were threatening attendees. One staff member managing the entry doors was out of control, yelling, actually had brass knuckles on his hand and threatened physical violence saying “trample me and you’ll see what you get.” It was completely unacceptable behavior and the lack of proper large crowd control actually heightened the risk of injury. After the event, staff continued their abusive behavior to clear the venue but they overall need professionalism retraining. You don’t have to mistreat people to be effective at your job and you should account for time to clear the event space without resorting to such tactics especially for a global event of that scale. The patrons weren’t rowdy and drunk- they were excited pageant attendees who had traveled far and wide to support their contestants. I saw staff members even yelling at family members of contestants and those affiliated with the pageant, like costume designers. One staff member yelled at a patron who remarked that he had paid $1,000 for his ticket and expected better treatment, “well the event is done and your $1,000 is done. Get out.” There was an obvious resentment and annoyance among your staff for those attending this event- mostly tourists. Seems like a wasted opportunity for you to welcome & reinforce travelers to return to NOLA or events at your venue. And I’m not a snowflake- I’m used to bouncers and large venue staff, but your staff totally overacted to the circumstances because they didn’t have sensible entry and exit protocols in place. You had people lining up to go through non-operational metal detectors unnecessarily to manage the entry while others were just marching through inside from another entry point creating a bottle neck at the doors. Makes no sense to fail at basic operations and then abuse the guests for your mismanagement.
