Story

Newsbar on University Place is a local coffee shop and cafe that proudly caters to the residents of New York.

From choosing a house-baked blueberry muffin, to our popular egg-wraps, meals are always delicious and crafted at Newsbar. Enjoy our new cold-press coffee and take a read through our extensive magazine selection. At Newsbar, we want you to feel at home in an interactive and friendly environment.

Serving only locally roasted coffee, our espresso blend has a deep and complex flavor to it with hints of dried fruit and chocolate. Smooth, wonderfully aromatic with full bodied richness, one sip will make you come back daily.

I love this place! Totally my new favorite breakfast place in the neighborhood. There’s a decent amount of tables inside and out. The menu has great options from eggs, avocado toast, oatmeal, bagels, bakery items, to smoothies. I’d love to go some time for lunch because their sandwiches sound really good. The prices are very nice compared to the large portions you get. I definitely recommend to someone who wants good food with a classic cafe atmosphere. It doesn’t have that “influencer” feel like some other brunch spots.
Very nice spot for lunch. Their oat milk lattes are great. Their sandwiches have always been delicious. The little patio outside is quite pleasant. It can get pretty crowded though, especially on weekdays. Vegetarian options: They have lots of great vegetarian options with things like beats and mushrooms.
such a cute little spot! great amount of seating packed into the shop, so even though it was pretty busy, i was still able to find a seat with no problem. also really appreciated that they didn’t charge any extra for alternative milks! i would definitely recommend to just come here to hang out rather than to do work though, the busyness definitely makes it a little loud inside.
Very cute place with quite the variety of coffee, treats, bagels, sandwiches and more. Nice table seating inside + some seating outdoors. I would recommend coming here as a treat/ on occasion as breakfast sandwiches will run you $10+. People are kind and the food is solid. Service is a bit slow tho so not a grab and go place.

Great spot for coffee, salads, sandwiches and some sweets - you cannot go wrong here! Excellent quality, quick and friendly service; just a perfect local gem with cosy atmosphere. Love their holiday special lattes.
I love homestyle breakfast, I love the attention to details of St.Regis breakfast, I love coziness of enjoying breakfast, I love French music while I’m eating breakfast. Luckily the Newsbar has them all! I’m here almost every week, never disappointed!Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
Amazing little Cafe just a couple minutes from Union Square Park. We came for breakfast. The vibes are immaculate! The food is delicious, I had the Kitchen Sandwich and my fiance had a B.Y.O.B build your own bagel. Highly recommended!
