I've been here a few times it's so beautiful inside and full of culture. The staff is super knowledgeable about east African culture and gave us some interesting facts as we were dining about Eritrean food. Food was delicious. We ate the chicken stew and the veggie sampler don't remember the names sorry. I also ordered the honey wine they make it in house. Delicious! So fun to eat with our hands and experience the way others dine around the world. My daughter loved it. Great family experience. Photo cred goes to her.
I've only tried Ethiopian food one other time and that was in Dubai so I was looking forward to it I tried the Meat Sampler for one and it was tasty and flavorful. The place was very clean and full of African Flavor to help with setting the full experience. The Staff was friendly and helped with recommendations. I'd definitely recommend.
Who knew that a strip mall on I drive could have such amazing food? Not me. I’ve taken friends here. I’ve taken clients here. I’ve taken my wife here. It’s always great. The service is friendly and knowledgeable about the menu. Super helpful for first timers. The menu has a nice selection, whether you want beef, lamb or vegetarian. And everything is hot and made to order. You eat it all with your fingers by picking it up with the Ethiopian “bread” which makes for great conversation as you share if you choose to and can talk about what each bite tastes like. I got the meat sampler today. Just enough food with 2 samusas as an app. It was full flavored and wonderful. Last time I got the app sampler and the bigger Chef’s special. Perfect for two of us. I also had a beer which was an ice cold easy too enjoy beer. Prices are fair for what you get too. I can’t wait to go back!!
One of the greatest meals I have ever had. Excellent service, meal presentation, and overall commitment to quality. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone interested in trying Ethiopian cuisine for the first time.
The food and flavors are great. The portion size is smaller than what I've had at other Ethiopian restaurants yet plenty. The workers are transactional rather than friendly. Entrees cost about $15-$20 each. The injera was very thin and doro wat was prepared differently than I've had elsewhere. The yebeg tibs, doro wat, misir wat, and vegetarian meal for one were all tasty, and I've had better. If there wasn't a better Ethiopian restaurant right down the street, I would make this my favorite in the Orlando area.
Good Ethiopian food. Good service. Our server was so incredibly friendly and fun. It was an all around pleasant, nice, peaceful, delicious, and flavorful meal. We got the starter sampler, the Chef's Special, and the Ethiopian lager.
It was our first time eating Ethiopian cuisine and we were pleasantly surprised. The food was delicious, the ambiance feels authentic and the price was very reasonable especially for the area.
We had the meat and vegetarian combinations which were just outstanding. We definitely will get back there to try other dishes. You should definitely give them a try if you are in the area.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: YesTakeout: Yes
The restaurant has a good decoration but need to improve the ceiling maintenance. The water was dripping from ceiling by the bar and mug can be easily seen on the ceiling. We ordered chef special but the portion disappointed me. The Ethiopian style puff was too thin and without its unique sour aroma. The stew vegetables on the plat were plain. Stew pork and curry-yellowish chicken were only food on the plate, I think okay. The cup for the coffee was not clean. We saw the coffee-residue on the cup. Hope they could improve the customer experience in the short future, either the food offered or the service quality. Thank you.
My rating is based on other Ethiopian places I have triedalso in Ethiopia with better injera and spicy doro wat. Here, the food is just okay, mostly bland with not so original spices, maybe to match up with the taste of tourists. If you want to try the best injera or Ethiopian, this is not the place. For first timers, this is Okay. Ambiance is good with beautiful Ethiopian decoration but not so busy. You will always find half of the restaurant empty.
