We were starving and everything was closed... Except this spot. Definitely a hole in the wall type joint but the cashier was so funny and nice and our food was so good. It's definitely a hidden gem!! I had grilled shrimp and veggies don't judge me and we tried the fried shrimp platter, catfish platter, shrimp Po boy. Everything was awesome!
First visit in New Orleans and we were told that we had to try a poboy. Since we were already near Royal Street we decided to give Nola Poboys a try. Honestly, it was just ok. The bread had a great crunch on the outside and soft middle. The shrimp were seasoned very well but the sandwich was more bread than shrimp. I assumed Poboys were stuffed to the max from several pictures I've seen but this wasn't the case. Kind of disappointed since it was my first Poboy. Maybe would give them another try on my next vist but try another spot first.
OMG, this place has the best and awesome food! The way they make their Poboys sandwich is authentic. Grilled shrimp has a decent size and seasoning. Must get the shrimp! The gumbo seafood must dip it with the bread or else be little salty. The staff is super friendly! Highly recommend!
Hands down a must visit in New Orleans. I never write reviews but I had to share my thoughts! The Debris fries were my favorite dish I ate during the week I just spent here. Literally, just wow. Everyone needs to visit New Orleans atleast once in their life. Eat these fries, eat all the food. A foodies dream come true. I can't wait to go back and have these again, there's nothing like em!!!! I also had the fried Oyster sandwich and my son had the grilled cheese, bomb!
The grilled shrimp po boy was amazing. Wanted to stand up and clap but instead headed up to front and told them BRAVO! The staff was very nice. The spot was clean. Probably the cheapest po boys on Bourbon St. The experience of eating there felt like I was taken back to the olden days. Loved it and highly recommend you try this place out. The small was huge. I certainly did not finish it.
Nola poyboys from the outside looks like a tourist trap, however it was truly authentic. Plenty of seating and quick service. The roast beef, spicy sausage, and barbecue shrimp was all excellent. The manager even came around and asked us how it was, definitely recommend.
Friends recommended NOLA Poboys as a must try stop on our stay in New Orleans. It didnt look to be any different than most of the shops in the tourist areas but the food was really good. We all enjoyed our lunches. The half sandwich I had was enough for two. I'd give them another try. There were so many items on the menu I wanted to sample.
There is literally always a line out the door for this place, but it is so worth the wait. The breading is slightly spicy, which I love. Highly suggest getting the soft-shelled crab poboy. You won't be disappointed!
My wife and I were feeling Poboys and she wanted a fried oyster one so we decided to stop in here. Was pretty busy for a late lunch but they had plenty of seating inside and also a sitting area outside. The staff was friendly and accommodating. I went with the cashier's recommendation of a surf and turf. I went fried shrimp instead of fried oysters. The surf and turf also comes with roast beefturf. My wife had the fried oyster Poboy. Both were exceptional. Will definitely come back and eat some more poboys when I'm back in NOLA.
Great service and atmosphere! We loved the gator po boy-it had the right amount of toppings. The server made our visit memorable and fun. The boudin balls were also good. The 8 inch po boy is big enough to share, making this a more affordable dining option.
