NorCal Trail Rides

The ranch is amazing. Alicia has the very only Insured Trail Riding Business on the area. She is super cautious but also fun to ride with. They are the only business authorized to take trail rides to the Anderson River Park. Horses are sweet and well trained for either ocassion: lessons or trail rides. A lot, I mean A LOT of fun kids come to this place to ride everyday. They enjoy the barn and all the pets while learning from the ground up horsemanship ethics. Super clean facility and taken pride of. This ranch also has an Airbnb refurbished/spotless 1940's trailer where people can stay at and enjoy ranch life, make a bon fire, read, work (since it has wifi), etc. Super recommended for a getaway or a vacation stop. Also close (8min) to the Redding area and less than 1 hour to Northern California National Parks, lake and waterfalls.

My wife, daughter and I recently started taking lessons (as beginners) with NorCal Trail Rides. We are learning a lot and having a great time doing so. Alicia, along with Lee and Deb are all experienced riders and/or trainers and super patient and cool teachers. The horses (Solo, Bunny, Nelson, etc.) are well mannered and will make even a beginner like me look good. The north state is very lucky to have a stable and riding school like NorCal. Each time we visit Shasta county (from the bay area) we look forward to getting back into the saddle to experience the great outdoors in a completely different way.

I am excited to write this review for the owner Alicia because of the wonderful time I had on one of her trail rides. I was visiting my best friend from L.A and 5 of us girls decided to go horse back riding. Alicia was an amazing guide and the horses are so beautiful. You can tell that she loves them and takes very good care of each one of them. Alicia is very sweet and friendly. She took several great photos and video along the way and made the experience for all of us girls very memorable. I visit every six months and we are all doing it again in October.
