We have purchased quite a few things from Marcus over 17 years now and could not be happier! Today we had our two fireplaces serviced by Mike who is the head installer, and what a wonderful experience! I thought that they looked so good before, but what a difference after Mike serviced and cleaned them. We had our fireplace restored and refurbished after inheriting a gas fireplace upon moving into our home this last year. It was the single best vendor interaction I've had in a long, long time. In the times of terrible service as almost a norm, Andrew was personable, very detailed oriented, clean and protected our flooring, painted areas for uniform interior color, and he showed us how to use our system correctly. It literally looks brand new. Very grateful and happy to know great service still exists! 5+ stars!

Called about 5 other places until I got to North Country. They quoted me way lower than everyone else and were able to clean my chimney sooner as well. Super professional on the phone and in person. Inspected and cleaned chimney very quick. Highly recommend.

I wanted to shout out to the world that I'm an author however I'm not. But I do want to write a review of North Country Stoves for the work they did for us on our fireplace and chimney. They knew what they were doing, did it and were very pleasant to deal with. We had an issue arise that they jumped on and solved and we just couldn't be more impressed and happy with all of them. Thank you.

DO NOT use this company. I have had problems with my gas fireplace from the day it was installed. The owner, Marcus, will make any excuse to avoid admitting to any possible problems with his product. He suggested I not use my blower on a self contained unit when I complained about a film on my floors and furniture. He suggested it must be from construction and sheet rock dust in my home or a dirty furnace. Does he understand how his products operate? They will charge for things that were promised to be under warranty. I was told they do not provide an invoice for services. Find another business, you will not be happy with this one.

Alex came to fix our gas fireplace. We was very professional and even cleaned it after he fixed it. Our fireplace looks and works like it is brand new. Thanks for great service at a very reasonable price.

Shout out to Mike, who efficiently and humanely removed a starling from the stovepipe, today! It was a tenacious bird, and hid in the most awkward spot to remove it from, but Mike was patient and thorough. Since the bird had started the cleaning process, Mike finished it. Great service, kind person; thanks, Mike and Abby!

1st time home owner, never had my chimney cleaned or inspected. I called and got my appointment setup for a week out, cleaners came out, inspected and cleaned. They quoted me a higher price initially but reduced it because my chimney wasn't really dirty! The crew that came out was great, professional, and informative about the process. They even gave me extra advice on the house we were looking to buy. Overall a great service by a great local company. If I was to ever have bad news with a chimney, I'd want these folks to give it to me - they are honest and strive to do the right thing.

Used there Chimney Sweep service with Woodstove safety inspection. The service tech replaced the dual door seals and rated our Vermont Casting Woodstove in excellent condition, further he added that if at all possible we should keep our present unit because new government regulations mean they can't build them anymore

Service guys where very knowledgeable and friendly. Only part I am upset about is the $125 charge for the guy to walk in my house look up chimney and walk out side look at stack and say looks good. Was here for 5 min. Overall just left a bad feeling of being ripped off. If I was told there would be a $125 service charge upfront even if they found nothing wrong then probably wouldn't be as mad or wouldn't have scheduled. But I called them over to clean my chimney and guy said doesn't need it. So now you owe me $125. Overall if you use this company ask a bunch of questions about price and charges before calling them over. Hidden service fees suck!
