I love this doctor office they have never not been helpful for me and my son. They have always answered my questions, never made me feel rushed, our doctor is Laura mills and she’s absolutely wonderful i couldn’t thank her enough for all she does! She always makes me feel better and makes me feel good about what I’m doing as a mom and she is excellent with my son as is the whole staff! I love It here. If you’re looking for a ped for your children this is the place to go.
My daughter has crohns disease and gets infusions every 2 months. She had an appointment scheduled today, that was scheduled 4 months in advance. We show up on time and they tell us no nurses that can do an infusion are there even though this was a scheduled appointment. It's supposed to be every 8 weeks on the day now she won't get to go in for a few more days. They couldn't believe no one called to tell us and neither can I. Very disappointed with this situation, I'm guessing all her future appointments will be messed up now as well. This location is much closer to where we live but I will probably reschedule future appointments downtown so we don't have to worry about this again. Taking off school and work and finding a babysitter is a big enough deal, doing it twice in one week is crazy and not something you should have to do when you schedule your appointments in advance. The staff that was present were helpful in getting us rescheduled but still it shouldn't have needed to be done. UPDATE: The nurse manager called me and sent a letter in the mail. He apologized and was very kind. I really appreciated it because I don't think many places or people would take the time to do that.
Doctors are super nice, staff not so much. The lady doing EKG here is incredibly rude and hateful I’ve never been to a doctors office who was so unprofessional in my life. This is a nice place, they just need to give their employees a class on how to treat people who already are going through enough even having to be at a children’s hospital in the first place. There are ways to disagree with someone without being so rude about it. This lady needs help with learning how to talk to people without thinking she’s in charge of everyone. Rude, rude, rude
Dr. Becker is by far the worst peds doctor i have ever met. She is extremely rude, judges your parenting, and doesn’t even treat what is wrong with your child. NCMC is very nice and quick but doctors like her make it pointless cause they don’t treat your child and just send them home.
This place should be shutdown. I took my 10 month girl for emergency at 10:45PM for 104F unknown fevers and waited for 4 hours. Finally gave up at 2:40 AM. There are 3 people ahead of us and we know it will be 8AM for our turn.
Medical staff needs to be educated on proper care for intact males. Doctor Herr was told to stop/not retract my son 3 times, continued to ignore me then tried to push my hands away when I intervened to stop her. She tried to give me outdated information that has been proven to not be true & had absolutely no medical evidence to back it up. When it came to his blood draw it was very traumatic for my son as well as his 2 year old sister to watch. They couldn’t find his vein I understand he’s young & small but one nurse seemed like she didn’t know what she was doing. The whole visit was horrible for us. They knew he had covid exposure but tried to say it was anything even though he had multiple symptoms of covid. Very disappointed in the way my son was treated not sure if we’ll ever come back but if we do we will request not to see Dr.Herr. If someone could please reach out to me I'd like to further discuss about our visit.
Just left this facility and wow what a great experience! The entire staff was so kind and so patient with my toddler. I wish I remembered all the staffs names, but they were all excellent. Zach, Joy and Dr. Montgomery were some but all we met were too kind. Reassuring, quick and compassionate.
The staff was amazing. From the front door nurse, radiologists, and doctor. They were sympathetic, accommodating and fast! My scared little guy felt at ease within minutes. Hands down the best ER visit to date. Thank you to all the staff!
My doctor sent me here after my 6 year old fell, hitting his mouth which knocked out a baby tooth and knocked a second one loose - to get an x-ray. Unfortunately Dr Greenwell said x-raying children's teeth wasn't an option because she wouldn't know what she was looking at - even though my doctor assured me they had xray techs that would double-check the scan to be sure nothing was missed. Beautiful place, we were seen quickly and my son was very entertained by the movies to offer and clay given to him. Just really disappointed it was a waste of time that I'm sure our insurance will overcharge us for.
Excellent! My baby recently had a scan under sedation here, and it was a great experience if you have to be in this situation. He was given light sedation to help ease his anxiety before getting his IV. They also numbed his skin. He never even cried. He was so relaxed when they carried him back. They also brought him back before waking up from the full sedation, which meant that he was never scared. I really appreciate this! And the radiologist had report done that afternoon with good news. Also a beautiful facility that has a lot of child-centered details. We even got a sweet card from them the next week wishing our little guy well.
