Nu-Way Sandwich Shops

As I walked in with my 3 children, were were instantly greeted with a friendly welcome. Rick was so awesome. He catered to my kids and put a smile on their face. His charisma made me feel like we were life long friends. The food was brought to our table and the kids were blown away when their meals showed up in hot rod baskets. Rick knew when the kids were ready for their dessert and delivered to our table. Overall, the food was warm and delicious, the root beer cold and sweet and the experience was out of this world. Thank you Rick for your outstanding service! We wish Hutchinson had a Nu-Way!!!

Greasy. Like grandma was gonna make manwich and she forgot the sauce! Edible if you add enough salt and pepper. My kids love it, though. One is a big fan of the homemade root beer in frosty mugs. The booths could be more roomy. The bathroom is a one-holer. Nothing here to lure me from the Golden Arches.

Not typical fast food. In fact it's not fast, but definitely worth the wait. My wife loves rootbeer and I don't. NuWay makes their own and we both think it's really good. Their onion rings and tater-tots are really good too and again those are both things I don't otherwise like at all. The whole menu is good and the folks working there are cool. They're actually nice and sincere, not just trained to act like it. Anyway, it's good stuff all around. The prices could be way higher, but they haven't gone up much in years. Worth every penny.

I love Nu-Way and their unique product but today was an utter disappointment. We went inside with about 20 minutes to eat which given the other experiences with the restaurant seemed quite reasonable. Before all was said and done, it was nearly a 40 minute wait until our food finally arrived, correctly. The staff was very rude to each other and rude yo the only staff person who seemed to be trying to help the customer. An unfortunate circumstance all around.

Nu-Way is an offshoot of the original White Castle which started in Wichita Kansas. They have a very unique non greasy burger, excellent homemade onion rings, and some of the best root beer you've ever had... For the real experience go to the original one on Douglas which has been there for many many decades..
