The Artichoke Sandwich Bar

I took a first date there before exploring other places. I knew they had great reviews and they totally delivered. My date had the famous #8 and I had the Twisted Seester. Great way to start the day. Thanks Artichoke!

I had heard good things about the artichoke, so I decided I would eat there for lunch with a friend. I ordered a famous #8 and my friend ordered a submarine. After a while of waiting, the same waitress that took our order came up and asked us if we had ordered yet. We told her yes. After about 30 minutes of waiting for our food, at least three tables that had come in and ordered after us already got their food. I went up to talk to the manager and they made our food to go. The sandwich was okay. I was expecting something a bit more unique, it tasted like something I could’ve easily put together at home. My friend told me that their service and food both used to be better. I’m giving them 3 stars for trying to make things right. Even though the food wasn’t unique, it wasn’t terrible.

Very cool, old-school, locally owned tavern. Down to earth. Great place for a Guiness or some low-key live music. Carnivores will like the sandwich menu, but plant eaters, not so much.

Simply the best sandwiches and wraps! So, so tasty and quick! Great waitresses, that want to be there. If you haven't been there you are missing out!!!!

Visiting Wichita and overheard some people on the street mention this place. Went in for a late lunch and a pint. I'm actually angry how damn good everything was. Charm in abundance. Flavors that make the charm seem unnecessary. Goodness at everY turn. Go spend your money here, or never speak to me again.
