Nugent's Tavern Irish Pub & Grill

I was looking for a beer and burger while staying at the airport hotel in Newark. Nugents was absolutely fantastic! John made on of the best burgers I’ve had in a long time. The wings were superbly crispy and tender. I was kind of expecting a local dive bar with typical bar food. Far from it! Teresa was bar tending and she was easy going and personable. While absolutely not fancy, the food, drink, and service was top notch. Highly recommended!!!

From the second I walked in the door until the time came for me to say goodbye I can't recall feeling more welcomed at any place across the nation than I did right here at Nugents. Aside from the instant comaraderie the food was ASTONISHING. As Steve told as I perused the menu "the burgers are life changing". Well. After munching down The Nuge, an absolutely delicious mushroom and Swiss with bacon and grilled onions...I am a changed man. Thanks Steve. And Chris and his cousin and....was it Micky? the barender for making my shirt time at Nugents memorable.

Our go-to local bar. The place could be nicer; and the owner is trying to renovate. I love this place for the consistently good food, great beer selection, and friendly staff. Gina’s our favorite bartender from anywhere. One ask is that the owner opens up the touch tunes library more. It’s very limited and it makes me sad to not be able to play much. Thank you!

Has the best Wednesday Night Bingo Host out there! Definitely a spot to go too. Everyone is friendly & welcoming. All types of crowds of ppl are welcome. An the food is always top tier.

Hit this place up on the way to Newark airport. Burgers and wings were very good. Steve that guy was friendly and the bartender nicki was so nice and accommodating. Go there!

This was my first time there my cousin took me there for my birthday, the food came out fast and everything was delicious, service was great and drinks are tasty and made just right I can't wait to go back there. I thank them for making my day special.

This bar over serves people. My husband was wasted and they kept giving him alcohol. Finally after spending 100.00 or more they cut him off. But wouldn't give him his credit card back. The law should really be watching this place.

This was my first beer spot I've ever went to - I liked that they had so many options to chose from. They had a passion fruit beer and its amazing and very cheap. They have a pool table and have seats outside so you can chill with friends. They also have a dj that comes in to play music. They have their own music but its pandora so theres ads from time to time :/

Decent pub food. Tables need to be cleaned more frequently, but it appears staff is reluctant to come out from behind the bar, handing plates over the bar for folks seated at tables to come retrieve themselves. Awkward with really hot dishes... and probably a liability. Anyway, the atmosphere is relaxed and fun. They could step up the customer service a bit in terms of the aforementioned expectations, but I can say they were all nice. No complaints about their attitudes or anything like that.

Go there on Sundays to watch football. Have every game. Good menu. Beer selections are good. Good vibe.
