The bagels are pretty good. The bagel is not super hard and the toppings stay on when you bite into it. I really like this because when eating an everything bagel most of the toppings end up on your shirt. I do like all the decorations inside and is clean inside. One thing I did not like was the customer service. The guy that took my order was rude. I could not hear him and he did not like that I asked a question about the menu. CUSTOMER SERVICE NEEDS TO CHANGE.
I tried this place for the 1st time a couple weeks ago and the overall taste of my onion bagel was just average. At Einstein's I normally order sausage egg and cheese because they have turkey sausage and I do not eat pork and it is always delicious but they only have pork sausage here so I just ordered egg and cheese. The egg was not the scrambled egg type it is more like a fried egg and tasted slightly greasy and also tasted like bacon and pork products which I do not eat so I was not happy about that. It tasted a little bit like the grease from bacon Which again I do not eat. On the positive side the size of the bagel is absolutely huge and you get a lot for your money. I can only give a rating based on my 1st time experience but overall I would just say average and the flavor is only average compared to Einstein's where I frequent.
First time experience was a hit! Our bagels tasted wonderful and the breakfast bagel was fantastic. We were greeted as soon as we entered. The service I received was amazing and their selection of bagels and menu items is great! Everything tasted fresh, the eggs were cooked great and the restaurant was clean! I love the modern atmosphere it has to offer too! I will definitely be back again!
The BEST. You guys gotta try this place. They have everything: eggs, lox, capers, perfectly chewy fresh bagels, more than five different cheeses, it's ridiculous. Everything is prepared expertly and in huge portions. Huge success, highly recommend.
it's called NY bagel cafe, not VB bagel cafe - it means the atmosphere will be different. Busy!! Real cut and dry, ordered my food, said it would take 30 mins, took like 10 minfast!. I got the french toast platter/squared potatoes w bacon home fries and 2 eggs + med coffee for 11.50 which is an amazing price. I'll be back
Stumbled upon this establishment this morning. Even at 10 am the bagels were really fresh. Just went simple with a salt and cream cheese. Coffee was also really good too. Highly impressed. Employees were really friendly, not to just our family but everyone that walked it. Service was prompt and the seating area was clean. We have a 2 year old and the child high chair was even clean. If you're a parent you know that is rare! We will be returning to try lunch and other breakfast options!
Porkroll egg and cheese. The bagel was soft, eggs were over medium and porkroll was the kind of get up north. The bagel was super soft even at the end of the day when it *might* have been sittibg out for a bit. Im not sating it was sitting out. Just my thought process that other places if you order at the end of the day the bagels are somewhat tougher. Other bagel places do the eggs on these scambled they won't make them any other way. NY Bagel Cafe did it right. Customer service was super nice. I placed my oder as they were closing and they were super cool with it. I do not like doing that but I heard about this place last minute from a friend and had to get a bite. They were prepping the massive amount of dough to bake for the next day. Talk about fresh.
First time customer, came here after it was recommended by a friend. Nice place, smelled great, huge bagels but service and quality didn’t meet even the lowest of standards. Waited for 20 minutes in store for them to call our number while multiple employees behind the counter gossiped. After asking if our food was ready 20 minutes after ordering they handed me a cold bag of breakfast bagels. Not to mention one was moldy. Wouldn’t recommend anyone eat here.
Not a bagel type meal person. Accompanied a friend. Service was good. Order was delivered quickly. Ordered bagel and veggie cream cheese. Bagel was good. Cheese was ok. Bagel was swamped with cheese. If you are accustomed to NY style bagels, this is no surprise. If you are unfamiliar, the cream cheese can be overwhelming. No vegan options. Heavy on the carbs. One time visit.
Good prices on NY style larger than grocery store bagels, but definitely not the same taste. Close, but not exact. They'll do as a substitute to the 8+ hour drive.Food: 4/5
